My name is Bailey! I’m a 9-year-old (in June, 2019) female Shepherd/Leonberger Mix doggie, who likes to cause trouble, play in water, and have fun! I was rescued and adopted in September, 2010, by a nice family, who already had a 12-year-old American Eskimo Mix named Nala (raised from 8 weeks old). I was just 3 months old then. My sweet Nala went over the Rainbow Bridge on January 17, 2015… she was 16 years old. I really miss her. I have a new brother Jax who had 2 surgeries when he was just a few months old (he had early onset hip dysplasia). He’s also had a surgery for a knee problem, and a surgery for a herniated disc in his neck. Four surgeries in his 4 years! When I was 2 years old I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, but manage it with weight loss (lost more than 25 lbs in 1 year!), diet and exercise. You can read more about that here. I’m thankful I haven’t had any problems with my hips recently. 🙂
