I was at it again…digging holes in the backyard. My family didn’t get pics of these latest holes though. I think it was because they couldn’t wait to fill them back up! 
Don’t worry — I’m sure they’ll have another opportunity to take pictures. Between you and me…I was so close to being able to crawl underneath the deck. There’s always next time!

I heard my first fireworks today. My family told me that tomorrow is New Year’s Eve, and people usually set off firecrackers, sparklers, and other loud noise-makers. I’m not too sure how I feel about it though. When I heard the loud bangs, all I wanted to do was run outside and chase it down. I hear tomorrow night’s fireworks may be worse than tonight. If that’s true, I’ll may have to look into some doggie ear plugs.

I dug the biggest hole in the backyard last night, even though I’m not supposed to. It’s funny the things I can do in an instant when no one is watching. My mom filled the hole today, so Nala and I wouldn’t hurt ourselves when we run around. She doesn’t want us to sprain our little doggie legs!

Since I’m still technically in the puppy phase, I still LOVE to chew on things. Sooo, in order for me not to chew on fingers, toes, and other stuff like furniture and shoes, my family makes sure I have lots of chew toys. I love chewing on bones, but even more…I love shaking stuffed toys!
Here’s a pic of some of the toys I keep around the house. I love these because they’re big, soft, fun to shake, and they sure keep me busy! I love to play tug-o-war with my bunny and bird — it’s a great way for my family and me to play together!

I don’t know exactly how cold it is, but my paws are freeezing! I think I’m going to stay inside until later — maybe it’ll warm up some. I love looking out the window — there are usually birds flying around and in the trees. I love when a bunch of them walk up to the house and look for food in the grass, right outside my window. Then I can stare for as long as I want…until they fly away.

Boy is it windy today! I went outside and my ears were flopping all over! I love the wind because it makes everything fly around, especially the leaves! There were so many leaves flying in the air, that I couldn’t decide which ones to chase first. 
And the smells — lets just say that I hope it stays windy for a long time.
But I also miss the warm weather, and all the fun I have with my turtle pool. It’s too cold to go in the water now, but one day the weather will be warm again, and I’ll be able to splash and play! Until then, I can only dream…

There’s nothing like waking up and taking a walk outside in the early morning hours, when no one else seems to be awake (or seems to be watching you). Hey, what can I say. I love the sounds of the birds and the smell of the air in the mornings…and the afternoons…and the evenings. Sometimes a leaf will fall from one of the trees and catch my attention, and I’m lost in a gaze. I always manage to catch anything that moves, no matter how small it is.
