Now that I’m able to go out back by myself without being watched, I am pretty much free to do what I want. Of course, most of the time I’m gooood. But occasionally…I get myself into trouble.

So remember when I told you that my family was trying to teach me to come every time they called me? Well that’s going pretty well I think. Mom’s been teaching me how to count too. She says, “Come Bailey.” And if I don’t come the first couple of times, she starts counting. Funny thing though…she never gets past three. On three she starts walking over toward me, and I just know it’s time for me to listen…so I do. It makes mom really happy when I go to her too.

Last night, one of the bedroom doors was open and I went in. Don’t worry, I’m allowed in there…when my human sister is inside. But she was busy, so I peeked inside. Big mistake. The door closed behind me and when I tried to get out, the door closed shut! So I took some time and looked around at all the stuff I’m not allowed to look at.

December, 2010: 6 months, 47 lbs.
December is here and this month I turned 6 months old! The weather is getting colder, and I love it! But I think my family thinks Nala and I are cold, so they bought us jackets! They thought it was cute, but we don’t wear them anymore. Besides…I’d much rather play around and shake the jacket. It makes a great toy!

October, 2010: 4 months, 34 lbs.
November, 2010: 5 months, 43 lbs.
October and November went by so quickly! In October I had my last series of shots (yay!), and my doctor said I was in perfect health. Not that I mind visiting the doctor — I meet lots of other doggies there, and even see a few cats! (Hiss!). You should have seen me the first time I saw a cat though…scared me so much I started barking and got everyone’s attention! Someone said, “First time she’s seen a cat?” Heck yeah first time!

September, 2010: 3 months, 20 lbs.
Since I’m already 6 months old, I’ll have to do my best to catch you up to all the trouble I’ve gotten myself into since I came to live with my new mom, dad and sister…and my other sister…the furry one. Her name is Nala. She’s an 11½ year old American Eskimo mix, and has never lived with a dog before. In fact, she hated dogs before I came to live with her. I think I’ve turned her around a little…sometimes I actually think she likes me! Haha. Well, either she likes me, or she just puts up with me because she has no choice.

My name is Bailey! I’m a 21-month-old (I’ll be 2 years old in June!) female Belgian Shepherd Mix puppy, who likes to cause trouble, play in water, and have fun! I was rescued and adopted in September, 2010, by a nice family, who already had a 12-year-old American Eskimo Mix named Nala (raised from 8 weeks old). I was just 3 months old then. It’s been almost 2 years, and I can finally say that Nala is no longer afraid of me. She sometimes actually likes me being around!

My human sister, Taylor, takes many of the photographs on my site. I even let my mommy take some pictures, and display some of her drawings.
