Aliens have Landed

I always thought of my backyard as a safe place. Today, I had doubts…

Mommy opened the sliding door so we could go out in the backyard. Usually things are nice and peaceful, and I run all over the place. Today, there was something different… and it was sitting under a tree.

It was red, white, and blue, and it stood in the dirt under one of the trees against the back fence. As soon as I saw it, I ran over to it.

It scared me… a lot.

I barked at it to try and get it’s attention, but it seemed to ignore me. It never looked directly at me, but I had it in my sight at all times.

Here’s the video of me meeting the alien for the first time:

Aliens have LandedAfter I managed to keep the alien at bay, mommy told me that this red, white and blue thing is called a No-me.

No-me. Interesting name.

Mommy said she’s never had a No-me, but she knows a few people who do. She thought it was time she had one too.

I’m not happy about sharing my yard with a No-me, but I guess I’m gonna have to get used to having him here.

Unless I can dig a hole deep enough to make him disappear. Muahaha…

So far No-me isn’t bothering me or Nala, and he’s staying out of my way. Sometimes I’ll go over and touch him to make sure he hasn’t moved from his spot under the tree. So, I guess he can stay… for now.

But the moment he tries to escape, I’ll be waiting!

Woofs & hugs,

~Bailey

  1. Hi, garden gnomes are actually cute. But I have many friends who say they are creepy too. For me they seem enchanting for some reason. Hope I am not a weird one. I am Geoffrey by the way…

Nice to meet you, Geoffrey! When I first saw No-me, I did think he was a bit scary. But after a few days, I guess I’m kinda getting used to him.

Thanks so much for visiting me!

  2. You were very wise to keep your distance before you knew what it was! You never know! We get black and white critters in our yard every once in awhile. We’re sure you’ll get use to him soon enough!

They sure are scary! But we’ve come to sort of an agreement — I’ll leave him alone, as long as he doesn’t move from his spot!

That’s a pretty freaky looking THING. I too would freak out if I saw it.
