Mommy usually stays up late working on stuff. The other night, we both heard a loud noise coming from down the hall. Mommy got up and checked her room, but daddy and Nala were sleeping. Then she checked Taylor’s room…
The noise was really loud, and it was coming from Bubba’s cage. He was spinning on his wheel!
Mommy didn’t want him to wake up Taylor, so she brought him into the other room. We ended up hamster sitting! π
I really do think that Bubba’s starting to get used to me.
He doesn’t run away or poop as soon as he sees me anymore.
And he stands there while I sniff him!
Oh Bubba… you really interest me.
I could watch him all day long.
Mommy put Bubba back in his cage for a bit,
and he tried to bite his way out as usual.
He’s such a silly little boy.
He made so much noise, that Nala
came to see what was going on. But she
didn’t stay for long — she went back
into the bedroom to sleep with daddy.
Mommy then put Bubba on the floor right next to her desk.
I watched Bubba from where I was… I couldn’t take my eyes off of him.
She put the colorful gate around his house, and
opened his door so he could come out whenever he wanted.
He ended up running in and out, in and out…
He could run around all day long and I wouldn’t mind. π
Then mommy put the playground just outside of his door.
Mommy thinks he was bored… maybe we need to get him more toys?
Silly little boy.

We are pretty sure that he was just making noise so that he could come out at PLAY with you!!! What a cutie!!
Hamsters better than late night TV for entertainment.
Maybe Bubba does need more toys! I know when I had a hamster, he didn’t have nearly that many things! His cage was tall, though, and he could climb it. I also used to give him the tubes from inside toilet paper and paper towel rolls.
Bailey, we don’t think we would ever be that good with a hamster – you do so well.
Mom said when they had a hamster years ago they had to keep in the the downstairs bathroom at night because he was a real nightowl too.
