Surprised! (& Review)

Last Thursday, I posted that my mommy had switched Nala’s and my food & water bowls. That same day (coincidentally), she went to our doctor’s office — they have a big store section. I think she was feeling a little guilty, and wanted to get us some stuff to make us feel better. I was so excited when she came home with a big bag for Nala and me!

Look below for the Good Stuff vs. the Not-So-Good Stuff…

“Toys?! Did ya get us *toys, mommy?” I asked when she got home. She looked at Nala and me and just smiled. She placed the bag on the kitchen counter.

Nala and I went crazy with excitement! The bag had paws on it! It had to be for us! But what was in it?

All of a sudden, we saw it. It was shiny and black, and it had paws on it. I wondered who it was for?

Then she took another one out of the bag, and put both in the sink. She washed and dried them, and placed them on the counter. Nala and I watched as she went over to my tall bowl stand, and removed both of my bowls… the bowls that used to be Nala’s. She put those in the sink, and took the two new bowls and placed them in my bowl holder. I had new bowls!

Surprised
The bowls are black and gray, and there’s a paw print
on the inside, just like in Nala’s bowls!

Surprised
They fit perfectly in my elevated bowl stand.
I am gonna have to talk to mommy about these place mats, though.

Surprised
See the cute paw prints around the outside?

Surprised
Nala ended up getting back her old blue and beige bowls,
but now she has a new elevated bowl stand! Her old one is
a bit taller, which is why I’m using it now.

Surprised
When Nala first saw her bowl stand, she knew it was different.

Surprised
But then she realized that these were her old bowls.
She was so happy, that she didn’t mind that she had a
new elevated stand. And her stand is just as nice as her old one!

Surprised
Now all of our bowls are off the ground!
Thanks mommy — we were really surprised!
<3 We LOVE our new bowls and elevated stands! <3

The Good Stuff:

    The Bowls…

    • Both sets of bowls are 100% hand-crafted stoneware.
    • They’re very durable, and can be put in the dishwasher and microwave (although mommy won’t put them in the microwave, just in case).
    • They’re pretty!

    The Elevated Bowl Stand…

    • Both elevated bowl stands are very sturdy.
    • They’re both constructed of black powder coated steel.
    • Not easy to knock over (trust me, I’ve tried).
    • Elevated bowls make it easy for doggies to eat and digest their food.
    • They look nice!

The Not-So-Good Stuff:

    The Bowls…

    • I have nothing bad to say about these bowls!

    The Elevated Bowl Stands…

    • I kinda prefer my bowl stand over Nala’s new one. Not that there’s anything wrong with hers, but the first night when mommy put down bowls in Nala’s stand, she didn’t place the bowl as close as she could to the front (you can see what I’m talking about in the pics up above). Because of this, Nala had to reach over a teeny bit more to reach her water, and this made her tag hit up against the edge of the stand. Mommy was worried that Nala’s tag might somehow get caught in the stand, so she moved the bowls closer to the front. Now Nala doesn’t have to reach over at all, and there’s no chance of her tag getting caught in the stand.

My conclusion?

Nala and I love our new bowls and elevated bowl stands. We definitely recommend them!

Buy them!

I searched online for our bowls and the elevated stands, so if you were interested you could buy them too. I’m using my affiliate link, which means that if you make a purchase through the link I provide, I will get a small commission. ๐Ÿ™‚

My 8″ deep bowls: are from Petrageous Designs. They’re available from Amazon.com.

Nala’s elevated bowl stand: is also from Petrageous Designs. The dimensions are: 18″L x 9″W x 9″H, and hold up to two 8″ Bowls. It’s available from Amazon.com.

Nala’s bowls were purchased a few years ago, and do not have a brand mark on them. But they look almost identical to my new bowls from Petrageous. My stand (Nala’s old one) is also slightly different than Nala’s new stand. Mine has individual bowl holders, where Nala’s has one space to hold both bowls. Slightly different design, but accomplishes the same goal!

You guys are lucky pups indeed! What pretty bowls – we have to have plastic… Sam likes to carry them around and drop them on the tiles, which also knocks over the stand with the water dish.
