It’s not ME causing the mischief today, friends!

\nOK, so I’m kinda embarrassed to say this, but our pool has turned into a swamp over the past year. It’s not daddy’s fault though… the pump broke and he’s out of work right now so things weren’t able to get fixed. The swimmable pool went from a nice clear color, to this:<\/p>\n

\nNot very appealing for humans and doggies to swim in…

\n<\/center><\/p>\n

These toads were big, but they weren’t as big as the one mommy found two years ago<\/a>! That one was HUGE!<\/p>\n

Sooo, these toads wouldn’t be that bad if, 1. They were in someone else’s pool, and 2. If they didn’t make this long drawn out vibrating noise that I couldn’t repeat for you if I tried. Even when the television is turned up, you can still hear them singing to each other.<\/p>\n

At first there was only one toad. Each time my hu-family heard it, they would rush outside and they would try and catch it from the pool. I kept running around the pool, but I never got to see anything. <\/p>\n

\nThese little creatures swim fast!<\/em><\/p>\n

\nHe would disappear under the water and
\npop up on a different side of the pool.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThis little bugger ended up jumping out
\nof the overflow on the side of the pool.
\nThat’s how mommy caught him one of the times.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Monday
\nI tried to get a good look, but it’s
\ndangerous for doggies to get close to toads.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Monday
\nThis was the first toad that daddy caught
\nand let go down the street. He found his way back. :\/<\/em>
\n<\/center><\/p>\n

They ended up catching one toad on a couple of different nights, and daddy set it free down the street (to find someone else’s pool).<\/p>\n

But by the next night, the toad had returned. <\/p>\n

Then, a couple of weeks later, mommy and Taylor were sitting in the living room. And there it was… a toad singing. Then another. There were now two toads, and they were singing to each other. Mommy ran outside with me and daddy got a box for her to put them in… but first she had to catch them.<\/p>\n

It was a little tricky, ’cause each time mommy got close to one of them in the pool, they would disappear under the murky water. It’s like they knew she was coming closer. Are toads smart? It sure seemed like it!<\/p>\n

Eventually, mommy caught both toads and put them in a box. The next day, daddy took them over to a park (far from our home), and for more than a week the backyard has been a toad-free zone! <\/p>\n

\nthe high life in their own fence-free lake.<\/em>
\n<\/center><\/p>\n
