\n
\nThis past Tuesday was my last doggie class! I was both sad & happy at the same time. The doggies in my class have become my friends. For our last class, we did some fun stuffz, and even got to choose a new toy at the end! <\/p>\n

I’ve added a special photo to this post, so you could see how mommy & daddy are using some of their <\/em>new training at home. <\/p>\n

\"DoggieMommy put my seat belt on in the car (I’m still not liking it), and daddy drove to class. I don’t think there’s ever a time that I don’t get excited going to class. Between driving in the car (which I’m still getting used to), to looking forward to eating all that yummy Tyson chicken, a puppy can go a little crazzzy!<\/p>\n

\"DoggieWe got there a little early, so I had time to gossip with the other girls. The other Bailey, a chihuahua, was telling me that she too was sad about this being the last class. I told her that I was glad to know her, and that I would never forget my “mini Bailey” friend. Isn’t it funny that she has the same name, and is the same color as me? You don’t have to worry… there are a few <\/em>ways you can tell us apart. \ud83d\ude09 <\/p>\n

Our teacher came into the class and told us how proud she was of all of us, especially those doggies that showed up each week. I’m glad mommy and daddy made sure I was able to be there every week — I wouldn’t want to miss anything then have to make up work!<\/p>\n

\"DoggieShe then started opening up this big red thing — I wasn’t sure what it was, but I was getting very interested. I won’t lie… I was also <\/em>a little nervous.<\/p>\n

\"DoggieAfter our teacher talked for a few minutes, she left for a minute to get a few other things. As I sat there, I stared at the red thing. What was it? Was it some test? I had no idea. But I never let it out of my sight… you never know what’s gonna happen with strange red things.<\/p>\n

\"DoggieWhen our teacher came back into the room, she pointed at daddy and told him that he would go first. Daddy got up and brought me closer to the red thing. He handed my leash to the teacher, and he went to the other side of the red thing. I didn’t know what <\/em>to think!<\/p>\n

\"DoggieThen my teacher started trying to lead me inside <\/em>the red thing. No way <\/em>was I going in there! I pulled away a few times, then I heard daddy calling me from the other end.
\n

\nMy teacher showed me where he was, and eventually I go the courage up to meet daddy down at the other end. It wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be, but it was definitely something new! After our turn, we sat down and it was time for everyone else to have their turn.<\/p>\n

\"Doggie<\/center>
\nThe 2nd time I went through the red thing, which I heard the teacher call a tunnel<\/em>, I walked through all by myself! It definitely helped that daddy had chicken waiting for me at the other end. By the 3rd time, I ran out!<\/p>\n

\"DoggieAfter playing… err, I mean, training<\/em>, with the red tunnel, we did some walking on the leash. We all went in a circle, and as we walked, daddy kept giving me chicken (that was so I’d stay by his side). <\/p>\n

The teacher had everyone stop where they were, and circle around their doggies. Then everyone practiced Sit & Stay for a few minutes.<\/p>\n

\nEveryone told their doggies to sit, then told them to stay… then they walked away. I stayed most <\/em>of the time — I guess I was a little distracted, this being my last class and all. I had my mind on other things, but I did OK.<\/p>\n

\nAfter that, we did some walking around some orange things called cones<\/em>. First I walked in and out on a leash, then daddy took me off the leash and I followed him in and out around the cones… with <\/em>chicken, of course! <\/p>\n

\nAfter the cones, we practiced Sit & Stay some more. We walked, then stopped, then walked some more. Then stopped again. This time I decided to listen. Daddy was happy about that. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

\"DoggieBarney, one of my classmates, got a nice haircut! Before, you couldn’t even see his eyes. He looked like a doggie who was living on the streets. I’m glad his daddy got him a haircut — he looks very cute now!<\/p>\n

His mommy and daddy must really be working with him, because he’s been listening in class. I’m very impressed!<\/p>\n

\"DoggieJack has also shown some improvement in class. I just wished he wouldn’t have stared at me so much. Every time I turned around, there was Jack… staring at me. Since there are no more classes, and I don’t know if Jack will be taking anymore classes, I guess I don’t have to worry about him staring at me anymore. <\/p>\n

I think I’m gonna miss that.<\/p>\n

At the end of class, our teacher said she had a surprise for all of us. She went over to a big blue tub and turned it over. All of these cool toys fell out of it onto the floor! She said she would call each one of us up one at a time, so we could each pick out a new toy! Yay! How cool!<\/p>\n

I watched as everyone went. There was Harry, who picked out a colorful little ball… then there was Willy, who picked out a little man-shaped fluffy toy… then Barney, who also picked up some fluffy toy. Then little Bailey went. She seemed to take forever! I couldn’t wait to go. Soon enough, it was my turn.<\/p>\n

\nAfter everyone else went, the teacher called my name. WoooHooo! It was MY turn! I ran to the box of toys and looked at each one. I wondered which one I should get.<\/p>\n

\nI finally decided on a toy — it was a SUN! It had these soft fabric petals around the edges, and it had a FACE! It was so cute and it squeaked when I squeezed it. <\/p>\n

\nNot sure what I liked about it, but maybe I picked it because I knew <\/em>mommy wouldn’t like it. You know why <\/em>mommy wouldn’t like it? Because she knew I would chew it up! <\/p>\n

\nAnd of course, that night I started chewing up one of the petals. *Cough*<\/center><\/p>\n

\nSoon enough, it was time to go home. I said goodbye to some friends, and hoped I’d see them again. Outside on the way to the car, Barney said one last goodbye. I guess I made some impression on him. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

\"DoggieThe car ride home was good, though I think mommy needs to get me a new doggie seat belt. Don’t ask how many she’s had me try on — that’s a story for another day!<\/p>\n

\"DoggieWhen I got home, as usual<\/em>… I plopped down on the floor and took a nice nap. HS tried to play with me, but I just couldn’t keep my eyes open. She understands how much school can drain you. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

\nSee the cheese? It’s on his leg. It’s good when I practice school stuff at home — it makes it so much easier to remember. <\/p>\n

I heard mommy and daddy talking about another class. They were going to put me in an agility class (with the red tunnel), but puppies can’t join a regular agility class — it has to be a puppy agility class. I guess I’m still growing. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
