The good stuffz… Nala’s recovering well from her surgery last Wednesday, & our Internet is back! The not-so-good stuffz… well, there may be too much to list.
\n
\nI won’t say that everything is bad, because it’s not. But things are definitely different<\/em>… at least until Nala gets better. I’ll get to those later on, because I can’t wait to share these photos of Nala with you. After 6 months of sticking my nose in Nala’s face, I never realized how LONG <\/em>her tongue was! Actually, I never knew she had <\/em>a tongue! Who knew? <\/p>\n

It’s funny, because mommy also commented that she didn’t know Nala’s tongue was sooo long! Nala… why didn’t you tell us?<\/p>\n

<\/font>The good stuffz…<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n

\nBelieve it or not, these are the first <\/em>tongue pictures
\nthat mommy ever got of Nala!<\/center><\/p>\n

\nEven I<\/em> had to get a closer look to see
\nwhat Nala was doing with her tongue here.
\nIt looks like she was biting it!<\/center><\/p>\n

<\/font>And now for the not-so-good stuffz…<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n

Since Nala had 4 teeth pulled, she’s had to eat soft food. It must be really tasty, because Nala looks like she’s reeeeally enjoying it… and it smells so darn good!! <\/p>\n

Mommy let me have a taste of it last night when she was feeding Nala. Then she gave me my food. Uh, really? You want me to eat my usual, plain, dry food, after trying out Nala’s soft, delicious, super-yummy food? <\/p>\n

I don’t think so.<\/p>\n

\nOh sure… Nala gets wet food, and
\nyou expect me to eat this<\/em>?<\/center><\/p>\n

Nala’s also not allowed to jump up on anything for a while. The doctor doesn’t want her to pull the stitches out that are on her thigh. Sooo, this means that I’m also not allowed to go on our loveseat by the window. Do you know how hard this has been… not to be able to look out the window? <\/p>\n

Not only that, the front blinds are closed, because I can see out the window from the other couch (Nala doesn’t like to go on the other couch). What’s bad about this, you may be wondering? Well, if I see something that’s outside, I’m gonna bark and make a big commotion. This always <\/em>makes Nala go crazy, and she tries to jump up on stuff to try and see what’s outside. And this is a bad<\/em> thing. So, to help Nala, I’m not allowed to do many of the things that she’s <\/em>not allowed to do.<\/p>\n

\nMommy blocked our couch with the dining room chairs,
\nbut sometimes I sneak up when Nala isn’t looking. \ud83d\ude09<\/center><\/p>\n

Mommy bought a card for Nala, to send to the doctor and hospital that took care of her. They’ve been Nala’s doctors since she was a puppy, and mommy’s very happy with them. They all know us when we go there, and give us special care and even give us treats!<\/p>\n

\nI’m surprised my tail doesn’t go flying off my butt!<\/center><\/p>\n

I got a glimpse of Nala’s card before Mommy put it in the envelope. Here’s some of what she wrote:<\/p>\n

“I just wanted to thank you so much for the care you gave me when I had to have surgery. I was very scared, and you made me feel safe. Thank you for fixing all my boo boos — I’m doing great! <\/p>\n

Mommy says that my right eye hasn’t been opened this big in years! And my 4 missing teeth… well I don’t miss them at all! I can still eat lots of yummy foods. I’ll still try and take away Bailey’s hard bones, but mommy doesn’t let me chew those anymore.<\/p>\n

Mommy, daddy, and my human sister say thank you too, for the many years of wonderful service. We all couldn’t have chosen a better doggie doctor and family.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I guess Nala’s post-surgery life is something I’m getting used to. I don’t really mind being on the leash for part of the day — Nala has to be on a leash too sometimes. I do get to go outside and play lots, and I do get to stay with my family more. In fact, they insist on it. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
