Today is Earth Day! If you don’t know what that <\/em>is, you really should, because it affects each and every one of us… even us furries!
\n
\nThe first Earth Day<\/em> started back in 1970, way long before I, or my furry mommy was born. That’s a long time ago. Today is a day for people to stop and appreciate our Earth’s natural environment. It’s also a day for people to think about what they can do to help our Earth live longer. <\/p>\n

According to the Earth Day Network<\/em>, “For over 40 years, Earth Day \u2014 April 22 \u2014 has inspired and mobilized individuals and organizations worldwide to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.”<\/p>\n

Wanting to be an earth-friendly puppy, I asked my mommy to take a quiz to measure our impact on the planet. <\/p>\n

The following image is from the Earth Day Network’s Footprint Calculator<\/a><\/em>, which helps us find out how many planets it takes to support our lifestyle:<\/p>\n

Soooo, wanting to take part in the Earth Day celebration, I decided I would reuse an old toy instead of buying a new one!<\/p>\n

When my family first brought me home at 3 months old last September, they bought me a ring made of tough rubber. I guess it’s like a teething ring. Well, somehow I lost sight of this toy — probably because all of my puppy teeth had fallen out, and I was excited about new toys. Well, I dug out my old teething ring and decided that I would play with this toy all day (and possibly even longer!), instead of wanting a new toy. Old toys are good too!!<\/p>\n
