Have you ever made a mold of your doggie’s paw? Well, my mommy has been wanting to do something like this for a while. When she was in the store today, she came across Sculpey clay. She’s heard all about it and knows what you can do with it, but she just never worked with it before. When she came across it in the store today, something made her buy it.

\nWhen she got home, I asked her what Sculpey was. She said it’s a type of modeling clay that you have to bake. It comes in lots of colors and you can even mix them for cool effects. I wanted to see what she could do with it.<\/p>\n

She said it wasn’t exactly what she had in mind for doggie paw molds, but she said she would get around to buying some cement for that later on. For today, she thought of using Sculpey to fill one of Nala’s paw imprints that’s in the cement on the patio. <\/p>\n

\nYep, Nala had walked on wet cement back in 2004.<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nSculpey isn’t exactly the right stuff to make a mold
\nout of, but mommy wanted to play around with it.
\nShe took a piece of red and white, and mixed them together.<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nThen she placed the clay inside one of Nala’s paw imprints.<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nShe used one of the included plastic knives to make
\na little heart shape around the outside of the paw print.<\/center><\/p>\n

After mommy finished, she placed the paw print on a metal cookie sheet, and put it in a preheated oven at 275 degrees. She kept it in there for 15 minutes per 1\/4 inch.<\/p>\n

\nWhat a cute little paw Nala has. \ud83d\ude42<\/center><\/p>\n

Now that mommy has had her first experience with Sculpey, I bugged her to create something with me <\/em>as the theme. Since I didn’t have any cement paw imprints, she came up with another idea.<\/p>\n

\nThis time she used purple, white, and some leftover
\npink from Nala’s little project. Hmmm, wonder what
\nshe’s going to make?<\/center><\/p>\n

\nShe flattened out the clay on a piece of wax paper…<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nand started cutting away… What are you making, mommy?<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nHey! This is looking a bit familiar.<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nIt’s my Bailey cartoon! Don’t I make a cute clay model?<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nShe left the edges rough, ’cause I’m furry.<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nWhen she was done, she picked it up with a spatula…<\/center><\/p>\n

\"Sculpey
\nput it on the cookie sheet, and baked it for about 20 minutes.<\/center><\/p>\n

\nAre you sure it’s not a cookie<\/em>?<\/center><\/p>\n
