The Fourth of July isn’t the only <\/em>day that has the awful, scary sound of fireworks… usually people start setting them off way before the 4th. But no matter when they start, the sound is usually just as scary.
\n
\nIf you’re just joining me here, my furry sister, Nala gets terrified of scary thunder and fireworks sounds. She just started wearing a Thundershirt<\/font>TM<\/sup><\/font>, and I’ve been trying to give it a really honest review. There are some doggies that may be ‘cured’ after wearing a Thundershirt<\/font>TM<\/sup><\/font> one time, but my sister is sadly not one of them. She gets really terrified and starts to shake — it’s really sad to watch. I usually don’t get scared by stuff, so thunder and fireworks just don’t affect me at all.<\/p>\n

First, I would like to share a couple of things…<\/strong><\/p>\n

~On July 4<\/em>, the doggies at Five Sibes put on a Patriotic Pets on Parade for the July 4th holiday! Nala and I sent in our patriotic photo, and it won for K9 Patriotic Duo<\/em>! They also included our photo in their wonderful patriotic slide show\/video! They did a wonderful job! Check it the Patriotic Pets on Parade at Five Sibes<\/a>!<\/p>\n

3rd Use of Thundershirt<\/font>TM<\/sup><\/font>: 7-3-11 Fireworks at Night<\/strong><\/p>\n

As soon as we heard fireworks, mommy put the Thundershirt<\/font>TM<\/sup><\/font> on Nala. I think she’s starting to like it. When she sees mommy hold it up, Nala comes over and bends her head down so mommy could slip it over her head.<\/p>\n

The night before the 4th of July, people set off lots of fireworks. Nala started pacing the floor as expected. Mommy called her into the bedroom, and up on the bed. I didn’t want to get left out, so I followed along. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Nala did OK during the fireworks… she was a little nervous, but she managed to lay down and relax a little. I’m starting to think that she’s doing better with the fireworks sounds, than she is with the sound of thunder. In the video below, you’ll see how a big boom of fireworks made Nala and even me, jump (I opened my mouth! Teehee!).<\/p>\n

\nmommy has had for many years. It’s in great condition and
\nstill has the tags on. I wonder if my furiends over at Five Sibes<\/a>
\nwould be able to tell if it was real or not? \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/p>\n

\nNala’s just starting to settle down on the bed.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nNice tongue shot, Nala!<\/em><\/p>\n

\nNala finally felt comfortable enough to take a nap.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nIt probably helped that she was tired. \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Nala
\nShe was asleep for about a half hour, even with some fireworks
\ngoing off. That is, until…<\/em><\/p>\n

\nA couple of MANGOES fell off our tree onto the roof of our bedroom!!
\nThose were worse than the fireworks! Woke Nala and me right up!<\/em><\/p>\n
