If you know Nala, she’s getting up in years (she’ll be 13 in November) and doesn’t play as much as she used to. Most of the time she lays around, but at least once a day she gets a little feisty and wants to play. Yesterday, she decided she wanted to play with my<\/em> favorite toy!

\nRecently, I received this tug toy from the Five Sibes<\/a>.
\nNala got a cupcake squeaky toy, but I caught her looking at my tug toy.
\nYesterday, she finally made a grab for it!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nYeah, sometimes I tease her with it.
\nI never expected her to take it, though. Ever.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nBut she did. She pulled it around so fast,
\nthat it flew out of my mouth.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nShe tried to keep it to herself…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\n…moving away so I wouldn’t get it.
\nBut I saw an opportunity to grab hold.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nShe turned, hoping I would let go.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nBut I held on.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nWe moved around the floor, both holding onto the toy.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nI think she was surprised at how strong I was.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nWe tugged back and forth, both not wanting to let go.
\nLook at us — we’re playing together! \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nI jumped up on the couch to get better positioning.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nBut Nala pulled out one of her strongest holds…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nIt was so strong, that she pulled me off the couch!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nShe started to swing me around, but I fought back.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nAnd there we were — in a tug of war in the middle of the floor.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nI saw she was getting tired, so I moved to end the struggle.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nI turned to my right, so I could get a better grip.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nThen I put my paw over my toy, to secure it.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nI shook my head back and forth to loosen her grip.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nAnd just like that, she let go.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Tug
\nAnd walked away.<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n

And that was the end of our tug of war. Thanks for playing with me, Nala! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
