I LOVE going for walks. It’s been a long, really hot summer, so I haven’t been on as many walks as I would have liked. But yesterday mommy surprised me!

\nShe waited until late afternoon, ’cause it wasn’t as hot. As soon as mommy asked me if I wanted to go for a walk, my eyes lit up and I ran to the front gate. My mommy grabbed my leash, and we said goodbye to Nala and Taylor. I was so excited!<\/p>\n

\nWhen we got outside, I jumped up on the window to see
\nNala looking out at me! I’m sure she wanted to go with us,
\nbut it was just mommy and me time. <\/em><\/p>\n

\nWe took off walking to the left, but we didn’t get too
\nfar before mommy stopped to talk to a friend of hers. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nThey talked for a few minutes, and then her friend
\nwent back inside her house. But we didn’t leave… <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nI thought we were going to leave, but then mommy
\nhad me sit down. I wondered what was going on.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nAll of a sudden, this little tiny furry creature,
\ncame trotting out of the house right toward me! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nOh my goodness! What was this furry little thing?
\nIt’s sniffing my foot!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nIt started sniffing me all over! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nThen we stared at each other. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nIt jumped up and tried to reach my face. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nThen it tried to crawl underneath me! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nWhen it calmed down a bit, I gave IT a sniff! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nThen it sniffed me back again! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nAnd it kissed me on my head! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nI heard mommy say this little creature was a doggie!
\nI didn’t know doggies came in extra-extra-small, but they do! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nMommy said her name is LuLu, and she’s a Morkie!
\nThat’s a Maltese\/Yorkie mix. Mommy’s friend brought
\nher home recently to join her 2 other doggies. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nI had to be careful with LuLu — I didn’t want to step on her! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nLuLu sure loved sniffing me. I was surprised that she wasn’t afraid. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nI think I made a new friend. \ud83d\ude42 <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nMorkie tongue! Teehee! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nLuLu is 6 months old and won’t grow much bigger. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nShe sure smells like a doggie. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nMommy and LuLu’s mommy, said I was very gentle with LuLu. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nLuLu is such a girly girl, and she loves PINK! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nI think LuLu likes me. \ud83d\ude42 <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nIsn’t she cuuute?! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nWe’re almost the same color, too! <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nWe could be twins! OK, maybe not. \ud83d\ude09 <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nI had a really nice time meeting LuLu. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nAnd I think she enjoyed meeting me, too. \ud83d\ude42 <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nI still can’t get over how tiny she was… <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nAnd how she didn’t let her small size
\nstop her from hanging around with me.<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n

We stayed with LuLu and her mommy for about 15 minutes, and then it was time for us to go. We had some walkin’ to do!<\/p>\n

\nAs we walked, I could hear all the doggies barking at me
\nfrom inside their houses. I bet they wanted to join me outside. <\/em><\/p>\n

\nWe passed one doggie on our walk — he was an older German Shepherd.
\nI barked at him a little, but he didn’t seem too interested in me. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nWe kept walking. Sometimes I stopped to smell the plants. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nWe walked for about 20 more minutes, then it was time to go home. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"Walkies
\nThere’s nothing like a good walk, meeting a new friend,
\nand spending time with someone you love. <3 <\/em><\/center><\/p>\n

Bailey’s Floppy Ears Video…<\/strong> There’s not really any sound to this video, but my mommy thought you’d get a little giggle out of watching my ears flop while I’m walking. OK, I admit it’s kinda cute. (There’s pretty good flopping after the :30 mark.) \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
