Sooo, ya know how I’ve been riding in the car all last week? I thought my mommy wanted me to start having fun in the car… at least that’s what she said. But I<\/em> know better. I know she just wanted to get me used to riding in the car, so I wouldn’t be as nervous when we saw the doctor! That’s right — last Friday I had to go to the doctor’s office!

\nWHAT?! The DOCTOR’S office?!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nI did NOT sign up for this.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nI was hoping my mommy wouldn’t leave me at the doctor’s,
\nlike she did back in July<\/a>. I started to get really nervous.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nWhen we got to the doctor’s office, my mommy put me
\non the scale. The last time I was here<\/a> was in June…
\nI weighed 62 lbs! Wanna guess how much I weigh now?<\/em>

\nI weigh 71 lbs now!<\/em><\/p>\n

\nWhile in the waiting room, I saw LOTS of doggies!
\nThis little doggie’s family was away on vacation, but he
\ngot to stay in his own little hotel room, just for doggies!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nSome doggies sat on the couch with their humans.
\nI was happy sitting on the floor.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThere was even a kitty in a box! I think he wanted
\nto get out, ’cause he kept on scratching and scratching!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThen these 2 little doggies came in — I think they
\nwere French Bulldogs, like my friends Benny & Lily<\/a>.
\nBut these two were crazy! They kept jumping over
\neach other & everyone around them.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nA funny thing about the boy doggie — he kept
\nchewing on the girl doggie’s leash when no one was
\nlooking! I thought he was gonna break her free!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThis was another little doggie that came in to get a hair cut.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThis little doggie had something wrong with his eye.
\nHe seemed really friendly, and REALLY happy to be able to go home.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nAfter about 15 minutes, this girl took me
\nback into a room, and she said really nice
\nthings to me. I liked her. \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThere were COUCHES in the room! I didn’t hesitate
\nclimbing right up onto it. Heh, heh, mommy!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nI hated waiting for the doctor. It seemed like
\nhe took forever to come into the room.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nSo I made myself busy — I started sniffing everything.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nNot sure what’s in there.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nI smelled the walls…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nAnd then the counter.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThen Dr. C. came in. He’s been seeing me since I
\nwas a little puppy. I’ve sure grown up a lot since then.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nHe told me that nothing was going to hurt.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nFirst he looked at my teeth…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThen he listened to my heart.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThen he checked my back legs. *Sigh* Mommy went and
\ntold him how sometimes I don’t like to stand on them.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nHe moved them back and forth…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nAnd then left and right. He told mommy that my legs
\nare in perfect shape, and that I have great muscle mass.
\nHe thinks it’s a behavioral issue — that I just don’t
\nWANT to jump into the car, or stand on one leg. *cough*
\n(By the way… don’t tell Nala that you’ve seen my tail
\nbetween my legs. She’d never let me live it down…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nDr. C. looked at my eyes…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nAnd even my ears.
\nThen they took my temperature — it was 103°!
\n(I guess that was better than the 106° I had, after
\nI stressed out on my “vacation<\/a>” last July.)<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nThen I got one shot…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nand another one.
\nI was happy that it didn’t hurt.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nDr. C. then told me what a good girl I was. \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nI couldn’t wait to go home.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"My
\nCompared to being at the doctor’s office,
\nriding in a car is a breeze. \ud83d\ude42<\/em>
\n<\/center><\/p>\n
