This was the fourth day that my mommy gave me medicine to keep me calm. There were a few things different this morning though… like Taylor’s friend stayed overnight, and everyone got up really early. Then there was the suitcase. Ah, the dreaded suitcase. I only saw it used once, and that was last year when I was just one year old. That time I had to stay overnight at Doggie Camp with Nala.

\nAnd this time was no different — the suitcase meant that Nala and I had to be overnight at Doggie Camp, without our family. I had hoped that I wouldn’t get sick like that first time<\/a> they left us there. <\/p>\n

\"What's
\nHere I was again, in the car. But this time I wasn’t alone.
\nMy family, including Nala and Taylor’s friend, were with me.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nMommy had given me one of those sleepy pills, so I
\nwouldn’t be that nervous in the car and at Doggie Camp. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nNala didn’t get one of those pills at home, but she did end
\nup getting one when we got to camp. She’s never had one before,
\nbut mommy thought it may take away some of her anxiety. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nNala knew where we were going. I kinda knew, but didn’t care much.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nIt didn’t take long before we arrived at Doggie Camp.
\nNala lagged behind, ’cause she really didn’t want to go inside.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nWhen Nala and I went inside the room, they had to switch
\na few doggies around so Nala and I could be next to each other.
\nWe went into 2 separate kennels. I would have loved to be in the
\nsame kennel as Nala, but we all know that Nala would have gone
\ncrazy about that. \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nAnd this is how mommy left us. I wish that I would have been
\nable to at least SEE Nala, but the divider between our kennels
\nwasn’t see-through. They need to make some changes!<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n

I found out later, that my family and Taylor’s friend, went to WDW and stayed overnight. Mommy said that she brought me to Doggie Daycare for each of the three days before they left, ’cause she wanted me to get used to being there. <\/p>\n

The first day she left me there for about an hour, then the second day she left me there about 4 hours, then the third day she left me there about 5&#189 hours. I guess I was a bit more comfortable being there on the fourth day… hmmm, maybe the medicine had something to do with it too. <\/p>\n

While my family was at WDW…<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFlat Bailey and Flat Nala (Flat B&N<\/a>) joined them! <\/em><\/p>\n

\nWe loved Dinoland the best! Who doesn’t like dinosaurs?!<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThere was so much wildlife! Look at this cute little birdie!<\/em><\/p>\n

\nAnd this striking black one…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nAnd there were loads of duckies! Taylor said she saw
\nsome ignorant boy pick up and hold one of the duckies while
\nhe and his friends were eating lunch. She was very angry, and
\nsaid that some people will do anything to try and look cool…
\neven when there was no chance of that happening.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThese are some of the pretty fireworks my family saw.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nIt’s a good thing Nala wasn’t there — the noise would have scared her.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThis was a van that was parked next to their car.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nFlat B&N spent the night in a hotel suite with my family.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThere was a pool, but it was too cold to go in.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nAt night they all relaxed with some television. Then the next day…<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nOur family came and got Nala and me!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"What's
\nAnd took us back home. We were so, so happy they were back!<\/em>
\n<\/center><\/p>\n

I think I understand now why mommy had me go to Doggie Daycare for a few days — she wanted me to try and get used to being there. Oh mommy… I will never <\/em>be used to being without you, daddy and Taylor. <\/p>\n

About that medicine that mommy gave me — it’s a sedative called, “Acepromazine,” or “Ace.” It did keep me from being very anxious, ’cause being away from my family makes me go crazy. Mommy doesn’t like to give us medicine unless it’s really necessary, and she felt that this time it was necessary. She did not want me to make myself sick like last time. The only bad thing, is that the medicine could take a couple of days to get out of my system, which, as of the time I wrote this post, I’ve been sleeping a lot and not really eating much. <\/p>\n

I’m keeping my paws crossed that my family doesn’t ever go away again. Hey, I can dream, can’t I?<\/p>\n
