I love my yard. I love running in it, playing in it, and discovering in it. Today, I made a new discovery.
The birds were out, and I even saw a woodpecker perch right up on my fence. When it first landed on the fence, the fence shook and it made a sound that got my attention. I quickly turned around, and saw that woodpecker. But I wasn’t fast enough to reach him. By the time I started to move toward him, he had flown away. Mommy wasn’t even fast enough with her camera. π

This is my yard.
But while moving toward that woodpecker, I noticed something further down along the fence. A hole. There was a hole… in my fence. I’d never really noticed it before, mostly because it’s covered by shadows. And it’s not really a hole — it’s an opening where one of the planks of wood has started to curve up on one side. No matter what, it’s still a hole to me. And it’s in my fence.
I decided to get a closer look.

Yep, it’s a hole alright. I wonder if there’s a way to fix this?

HEY!! What the? Who’s in..?!

There’s a monster in there! I’m under attack!

I’m moving in for a closer look. “I can hear you breathing in there!
It’s growling at me!”

I got a little glimpse of the creature.
Could it be a red panda… in my neighbor’s yard?!

Then it stuck it’s head out a little. Awww, it wasn’t a red panda…

It’s only my neighbor’s Pomeranian doggie!

She kept barking at me!

I guess things aren’t what they seem to be, sometimes.

Then I had a surprise! Another doggie stuck his nose out of the hole.

He’s a Bichon Frise, and he and his sister worked up some good barkin’ at me.
I learned a good lesson: never be afraid to stick your nose inside a hole… you never know what you might find!
Here’s a little video of me discovering what’s beyond the hole in the fence. Was I scared? No way. I was just a little surprised. π

Hey Bailey,
You’re clever to discover you had a Dog flap into your neighbours garden π I discovered a hole in our fence once, well I might have even removed the panel myself, I guess we’ll never know π Anyway, Mum discovered it too just before I was able to get out and guess what, yep, the had the fence fixed, doh!! I would have come back – honest! π
Hope you’re having fun,
Your pal Snoopy π
They DID fix the fence! I guess our neighbor was afraid her little doggies would come over and play! teehee!
You never can tell what you will find on the other side of the fence. I bet you will be over at that hole all the time now!
Oh Bailey, I’ve missed you! You are so very cute and inquisitive! Those 2 little doggies are cute with all their barking – I bet I know how that perimeter breach occurred…
Does little neighbor want to play?
Benny & Lily

Now aren’t ya a fierce barker, Bailey…
That must be fun finding new furiends to play with. And right next door! Maybe that hole will magically get bigger and bigger and you can play with them.
They are small enough to come over and play with you one day!
