Thundershirt Review: Part I

After months of thinking about getting a ThundershirtTM for Nala, mommy finally decided to buy one. When she tried to buy it online, she found out that she wouldn’t have been able to receive one until after the July 4th holiday.

Yep… mommy waited too long. We’ve been having thunderstorms for the past few days, and it’s due to storm for the next few days too. And the biggest fireworks holiday is coming up. Mommyyyy… how could you wait until the last minute?

Mommy didn’t give up though. She spoke to a nice lady at the company, but there was just no way that they would be able to ship one out in time. She was even willing to pay for overnight shipping, but they said it could not be done.

Then the nice lady looked up to see which retailers near us carried the ThundershirtTM. It turns out that many veterinarians carry it (who knew?!). Our veterinarian does not carry it, but the nice lady told mommy that there was a veterinarian in a nearby city that did carry it. Mommy called them and found out that they had lots in stock. She looked them up and found out that they were located about 25 minutes away. All mommy had to do was sneak Nala out of the house (that’s right, mommy… I know you took Nala with you), and bring her in the car to go get the ThundershirtTM. Mommy wanted to make sure that she got the right size.

Mommy finally got a medium size ThundershirtTM for Nala to try on.
By this time, she was shaking and didn’t really want anything but to leave.

Thundershirt Review: Part I
Nala was soooo happy to get back into the car. There’s just something
wonderful about the words, “Let’s go home” that make doggies smile. πŸ™‚

Thundershirt Review: Part I
When Nala got home, I checked out her new ThundershirtTM.
She got it just in time, ’cause last night it stormed again.

I have no association with the company mentioned in the above review, but I am an affiliate. Mommy purchased this product with her own money, and Nala and I are giving our honest doggie opinions.

That is quite a fashionably good idea and they do look great!

  2. Oooooohhhh, I can’t WAIT to hear if it worked! We use a DAP here that helps a bit but Felix could definitely use some more support!

  3. Hey Bailey,

Nala looks cute in her shirt, shame you couldn’t go to help her get it πŸ™ Got my paws crossed that it works and you have a great weekend!

Eagerly awaiting the rest of your report. I’ve been reading about the Thundershirt and wondering if it would help Jeffie’s storm anxiety.

We were talking just tonight about whether or not the Thundershirt might help YoYoMa. He is mostly blind and loud or strange noises make him VERY nervous.

I hope the Thundershirt worked!! I’ve always wondered about getting one for Jess, she is upset by fireworks (though cuddles and a jumper wrapped around her helps).

Boy I hate it when I have to “Wait for The Rest of the STory” I sure hope it helps. My Vickie would love to find something to tell her clients about. So many of my friends that come here are scared of fireworks and thunder.

Not me though. nothin scares “The Bertster”

    Later
    Bert

Oh Wait. Allred scares the Bertster

  12. Oh, I so hope it worked. I would hate to see Nala scared again. We’ll be waiting to hear.

We have had some luck with music but are looking forward to hearing about the Thundershirt. Bailey is a prime candidate for it. We may look into the vet option as I really would like to see it size, not just guess.

Woof! Woof! Happy Friday … we are also having lots of Thunderstorms (just had one last night). I am not a big FUN of storms n fireworks. We heard lots of good things about the Thundershirt. Can’t wait for your Part II. We are testing a new product that we received in the mail … All I can say it is Organic … will see how it works. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

The girls at our veterinarian’s office told mommy about something called, DAP. Mommy might try that with the Thundershirt. Let me know how your product works! πŸ™‚
