Yesterday, I told you how Nala and I spent the day on Sunday with a couch invader. Well, this so called “couch” is now a permanent fixture in our home. Trust me, it isn’t something I’m happy about.
Before I continue, I’m looking to hear from my NYC bloggie friends:
My mommy was invited to an awesome invitation-only pet-related event in NYC (pets are welcome), but unfortunately cannot attend. We are looking for one person to go on our behalf — You would be going as an associate of My ParenTime’s Family Community (MyParenTime.com) & BaileyBeGood.com, and would need to gather and send any information (pamplets, brochures, samples, etc) to me. You would also need to write up your experience & offer opinions for a guest blogger spot on BaileyBeGood.com. I would prefer you to have been my friend (commenting back and forth on each other’s blogs, etc.) for at least a few months, and to have your own blog (doesn’t need to be pet-related, though since the event is pet-related, you probably should have pets). If you want more details, you can send me an email and I’ll get back to you. The event is on 11-15-11, and space is limited. Please comment below if you’re interested, or send me an email if you’re curious about this great event (please only contact me if we’ve been commenting back and forth for at least a few months). Thank you woofs! <3 Now for the space invader… err, couch invader…

Here’s ME! Oh yeah, and the “couch.”

Here’s where Nala and I get to sleep…
is it on the new “couch?” I think NOT!

I tried to sweet-talk Taylor, but she was too smart.

Nala and I didn’t know what to do.

So we took naps.

Then daddy came down on the floor to play with us.

I realized this was only a ploy to get us
to accept the new “couch.” It didn’t work.

As soon as I realized that, I went to sit away from
the “couch.” I wasn’t gonna play that game.

Believe me, I tried to get up on the “couch.”
But each time I managed to get a paw up, I was stopped.

Nala tried being nice, but that didn’t work.

I decided not to be so nice… but that didn’t work either.

Nala and I finally realized that we had no
other choice but to accept the couch invader.

It was definitely here to stay… for a loooong time.

This was only day one. I’ve got many more days to
turn the rules around. At least I saved my pillows!
From the looks of that last photo, you’d think that Nala and I would be allowed on the end where the Micky Mouse blanket is. Well, mommy said she put the blanket there, because I got some drool on the couch when I dropped my bone on there. Sheesh! It’s just drool! I didn’t realize that my toys and treats weren’t allowed on it either!
Before I leave…

That new invader looks big enough for the ENTIRE family, including you and Nala, to curl up all comfy together. What about togetherness? What about cuddle time? What about just sleeping on the blankie covered parts? Maybe you just just explain that you are trying to be nice and don’t want to get lawyers involved! ๐
Stay strong Bailey and Nala. They can’t hold out forever!
the 2 brown dawgs
Sorry! You have our sympathy! We have a blowup couch that we sleep on! We have cement floors and they get really hard. Maybe you could have one of your own like me and the Bear?!
I’ll tell what isn’t fair, Roxy is allowed on the couch, Torrey isn’t. How does that happen?
Hi Y’all!
That is NOT FAIR! Oh well, life isn’t fair…:(
Demand your memory foam orthopedic mattresses and beds so you don’t get arthritis and stiff from sleeping on those hard floors.
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
P.S. You could complain to the cruelty to animals people. On second thought, they might take you away. Guess the devil you know (the couch invader) is better than the one you don’t.
dont you worry when the humans are looking yall can get up there im sure ๐
The couch is very pretty though – love the color!!
Well, you and Nala just wait until no one is looking….then, up on the couch you go and…fall asleep quick. They would NEVER wake a sleeping pup, would they?????
Silly couch invader!
Woof! Woof! I am very lucky that I do not have to share the couch to anyone (well expect for my peeps). Well I am NOT actually allowed to be on the couch BUT … so Good Luck! Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
BTW: Just got back n catching up. Hope you received our last email. Golden Woofs
We love that carpet there, Bailey, but the Momster says we could never have hat here because all our furs would show on it. That is one of the good things about our white rug.
Hey, Mickey is an animal and if he can be on the invader couch, then we say you can be too – go for it.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
So in other words that couch is trespassing and arrived without permission
Benny & Lily
It just isn’t right – how is that couch supposed to get ‘house-broken’ if they won’t let you jump all over it?????
patience is a virtue. the couch may be there to stay, but perhaps one day you can inch you way up there. start with your chin….try that and then a little more until maybe one paw…good luck. i will be watching for part III
