Before I start today’s post, I wanted to tell you that there are 12 new pics in the gallery! You can view them here. Now for today’s mystery…
When I’m outside, I am so in tune with all the sounds around me. There are birds chirping, leaves rustling, lizards creeping, wind chimes chiming, cars zooming… and then there are the neighborhood dogs.
There are only two dogs that I can see through the slats of the fence on one side of the yard — they’re a little brother and sister team that are always yapping away. There is another dog who lives just beyond the fence on the other side of the yard. I’ve never seen him, but he isn’t always outside either. Mommy says she never sees him out in the front, and she’s only seen him a couple of times out in the backyard.
This morning, I heard all this barking coming from beyond that side of the 6 foot fence. I jumped up on it, hoping I’d be able to see something.
Mommy laughed when she saw me barking at the air. “You can’t see beyond the fence, silly Bailey,” she said. “Ohhh, but I want to see what’s there,” I barked.
“Here, I’ll take a picture for you and show you what’s on the other side.”
Mommy then took out her camera, which she always seems to have with her, held it up, and snapped a picture of what was just above the fence on the other side.
Here’s what the camera saw:
The orange tree. Mommy – wrong direction.
I heard the barking coming from over there. *points*
I started barking in the direction that I wanted her to take a picture. “OK, OK,” she said. So mommy moved closer to the fence and put the camera up to a small hole in the fence.
Here’s the picture she took:
This is the backyard that’s right beyond the fence, where the dog hardly ever gets a chance to see daylight. But… if you look beyond this backyard, on the upper right side, you’ll see a chain link fence with bushes on it.
Just beyond this point is where the mystery begins…
All of a sudden there was more barking. I barked to mommy to quickly take another photo. “Zoom in, zoom in!”
And there it was — Mystery Dog. Mommy doesn’t know what kind of dog it is, or even if it’s brown or black. She’s also not sure if it’s a boy or a girl.
But she thinks it’s definitely a dog. What do you think?
Will this mystery ever be solved? You’ll have to wait and see. I’ll keep bugging mommy to try and get more pictures, but he’s a sly doggie! He’s managed to evade us many times. I guess he’s camera shy.
Until next time!
Woofs & hugs,
