To Build or Not to Build: Part I

So… it seems that Taylor, my human sister, has had the dresser in her room since she was a baby! Since that’s quite a few years ago, she thought it was time to have a new look. Remember the new TV stand that mommy put together just a few weeks ago? Well, now she has a new chest of drawers to go with it. The only thing is… we have to put it together.

I told Taylor that this new chest of drawers is going to match really well with her new TV stand. There’s lots to do, though! Some people have commented on the store site, that it took them 4-6 hours to put together! I hope it doesn’t take us that long! Heh, with me helping, it might take even longer!

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
First things first — check to see if all the parts are here.
Big screws, little screws, dowels, other metal stuffz…

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Organize all the pieces of wood…

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
This is the glue that came in the box.
How can you fill holes with glue from a little baggie?

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Can we use FrogTape to hold the wood together?

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Nope! We’re gonna use Gorilla Glue for wood!

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Mommy, let me have a look at these instructions…

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Ahhhhh, place part HB into part FB. Rightttt

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Nala, don’t just sit there… come help us!

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
*Sigh* This is sooo confusing…

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Mommy, just put that big screw thingie into that hole.
Nala, where did you put the screwdriver?

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
“zzzzzzzzzzzzzz…”

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Looks like we’ll have to do this ourselves, mommy.

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Finally, it’s starting to look like a drawer!

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Ta da! Five drawers done, and it didn’t take us 4 hours.
It only took 3 1/2 hours.

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Is it time for a break yet?
All this hard work is making me sleepy.

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Mommy poured some glue to prepare for some more dowels…

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Uh oh.

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Taylor, we need your help!

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Oh no, the holes aren’t deep enough for the dowels.
What’s up with that?

To Build or Not to Build: Part I
Ah hahaha… this is going to take us all day.

Stay tuned for Part II

Lotsa woofs & hugs,

~Bailey
