We have lots of lizards in our backyard. If you do a search on my site, you’ll find a few posts about lizards & snakes. Recently, I learned that there’s a giant lizard family living in our backyard.
Update on my Taylor…
My mommy took Taylor to the doctor yesterday. He said she has costochondritis, which mommy had already diagnosed her with after doing a brief Internet search. He also said that people don’t have to have fibromyalgia in order to have this condition. So Taylor’s taking her anti-inflammatory medicine for about a week, and hopefully it will just go away. Thank you friends, for all of your caring well wishes! 🙂
Boo news…
My computer has some issues and I have to share computer time with mommy. *Gah!* This time away from all of you is turning into a long break. I miss you all and hope daddy fixes things asap!
Now for the Giant Lizard…

Now when I say ‘giant,’ I really mean the bigger lizards
that have a big curly tail. Not the little baby geckos.

I’ve been trying to catch one of these lizards for as long
as I can remember. But they’re just as quick as the smaller ones!

Just when I think I might catch one, it darts behind or
underneath something. Oh hello, my old couch! How I miss you!
Yep, my daddy still hasn’t gotten rid of our old couch…
it’s still sitting out back on our patio!

The other day when mommy and I were walking out back, we
came across one of the giant lizards. He was just sitting out
there in the grass! So mommy took me with her inside, so she
could go get her camera. It was still in the same spot when
we got back. Mommy thinks it might have been sick.

I nudged it with my nose, but it took off running.

Eventually, I picked it up just a little bit, until my mommy
made me drop it. She’s such a party pooper. If you watch the
video below, you’ll see everything just before I grabbed him.
Mommy didn’t think it was appropriate for me to show that part
of the video, so I took a screen shot. Heh.
Mommy rinsed my mouth out afterward — she didn’t know what was wrong with that lizard, but she wanted to make sure I didn’t get sick. Then she picked up the lizard with a rake, and placed him in a far corner of our yard where I can’t get to him. She said he slowly walked away into the next yard.

Sending White Dog healing energy to Taylor with hopes that is better very soon. That was a very beautiful lizard, we are glad your mommy moved him to a place where you wouldn’t be so tempted to “play” with him.
Are you sure those aren’t baby DINOSAURS???
Glad that you know know fur sure that is going on with Taylor. I hope the meds work and keep the pain away!
That looked like a mini dinosaur!
Your friends,
Murphy & Stanley
We had one of those giant lizards not to long ago at our house. My mom is a party pooper too, she would not let me near it. Boo! I hope your Taylor gets better really soon!

hey Bailey,
Pawsome! I have never gotten to play with a lizard before. It looks like fun! And good exercise: sniff and run, sniff and run. BOL! I hope the little guy is O.K. and I am glad he went into the other yard so he can rest. Hopefully he will get better and come back and play “sniff and run” with you again.
So furry happy Taylor has been diagnosed and can now heal. Also glad that it is nothing serious. Paws crossed she feels better very soon!
And boo on your computer! Hope your dad gets it up and working soon.

We always have to worry about those things here – most of them are poisonous!
Sam
Bailey you are brave. Was that you breathing or your mommy. hehhee.
Blessings,
Goose
We sure hope the anti-inflammation meds help Taylor,no fun feeling like that.
We would have been all over that lizard. Good thing we don’t have them in our yard, but we keep hearing that the armadillos have moved into Kansas. Not so sure we want to find one of those in our yard.
