New Year’s Day Walk

I had a great sleep last night — boy, did I party! OK, so I played tug-o-war with my sister and went to sleep after the ball dropped. But I woke today, ready to face the first walk of the new year.

We walked around the neighborhood and heard lots of dogs barking…from inside their houses. Poor puppies! They should have been outside on a walk! It was a beautiful day. We walked a while and then went down by the river. I love water, but there’s something scary about the waves that a motorboat makes in the water. I saw a few boats on the water today — it was a great day for a boat ride!

After I took a dip in the river, we started our walk back home. I love all the pretty color leaves on the ground, and usually grab a couple as I’m trotting home. There’s nothing like a good leaf! On our way home we passed a few squirrels, and even a doggie with a cone around it’s neck. When we reached our home, Nala barked and I knew she missed me (well, maybe she missed my mom & dad). Anyway, it was a great start to the new year. Happy New Year everyone! Woof!
