Today was a such a busy day for my mommy. She had a few appointments and kept leaving and coming back home. During the times when she was home, I was out of my house (some people call it a crate), and causing trouble by play fighting with Nala. It wouldn’t have been a big deal, but Nala does not like to play fight. When it comes to me, all she likes to do is sniff me when I’m not looking and chase me around outside.
After I got into trouble once or uh, twice, I spent some time looking out the front window. There were so many people passing by with their dogs, and some riding by on their bicycles. Those things scare me! How in the world do humans balance on those things? I’ll never figure it out.
One time when my mom was home and Nala and I were outside, I went sniffing around the other side of the pool. There were these things in the grass — when I went to sniff one, mommy came around to where I was and told me to leave them alone. She said they were bird feathers and that I shouldn’t touch them. I thought they were cute…and they looked tasty! Well, when mommy turned around, I grabbed a big feather and began to run around the yard. Mommy chased after me and realized that I had something in my mouth (remember, I like to eat everything!). I didn’t want to give it up, so I kept running away. But then I realized that this thing…the feather, was kind of stuck in my cheek. I kept trying to move it around with my tongue, but it wouldn’t budge. Mommy noticed that I had something stuck in my mouth and she called me over to her. It didn’t take me long to go over…I did need help.
When Mommy opened my mouth, she saw the feather. She couldn’t believe that I had put a feather in my mouth! I can’t believe I couldn’t chew it! I got into trouble and I had to go inside after that. Mommy watched me really closely the next time I went outside, and made sure there weren’t anymore feathers for me to pick up. When mommy went inside, she measured the feather — it was 4 inches long!
Next time I go outside, I really need to be more careful of what I put in my mouth… I just can’t help it! If any of you have any suggestions on how I can stop trying to eat everything in sight, please let me know! My mommy will be very grateful!
