Hide & Seek

I think this is one of my favorite games! There are a few places to hide in our backyard, and mommy knows every single one. The first time she hid, I was distracted by Nala’s barking in the house. That’s how she manages to get away from me — she waits until I’m not paying attention, and then she RUNS! She wouldn’t be able to get away otherwise. 😉

The first time mommy hid, I ran all around the pool. Where was mommy? I ran around again, but I didn’t see her. She had to be here somewhere. So I ran around a third time. No mommy! The next time I went around I went more slowly, and found her hiding on the side of the shed! Sneaky mommy! Good hiding spot!

The next time, mommy snuck up on me when I was sniffing behind the pool. She really surprised me! If you look real close, you can see my tongue sticking out (I added a close-up for you). My tongue always manages to stick out in photos. We all think it’s so funny. lol

While playing, mommy came across another dandelion. My human sister thinks they’re such pretty flowers. She likes to watch the seeds blow in the wind. Mommy showed me the flower and I sniffed it. I was careful not to eat it this time. I came really close, but I controlled myself!

Another time that mommy hid, she crouched down on one side of the pool deck and surprised me when I came around. I love when she does this — I always wag my tail lots! Then she chases me around to the other side of the pool and I jump all over her.

Then mommy thought she would be smart and hide on the side of the house near the mango tree. But I saw her running there and ran up right behind her. I love to run with my family — it’s so much fun. Mommy was sneaky and snapped a picture of me just as I found her.

I love playing games outside because I have sooo much energy! If I don’t use some of it up outside, I’ll go crazy using it up later at night…inside. So better to play outside as much as I can. I’m so glad it wasn’t a rainy day. 🙂
