I was watching out the front window today…there was so much going on, but probably no one was watching better than Nala & me. We have a small tree outside our house that blooms pink flowers — they’re really pretty. Birds like to fly and hide inside on the branches, especially Blue Jays. When I see one fly into the tree, I bark at them and make them fly away. It’s so much fun!
While I was barking at some birds, mommy came over to see what was going on. I told her, “Bark! Bark!” (Translation: “I’m just barking at some birds!”) Mommy began to tell me about the birds she used to have. “Bark? Bark?” I asked. (Translation: “You had birds?! Awesome!”) She said she used to have a Nanday Conure named Jessi, which is a very vocal bird (very noisy!). She also had a parakeet, or budgie named Chevy. She used to let them fly around her house. I thought that was so cool! I wish we had some house birds now — I’d never get bored!
House birds…we had a few of those today. Except that they were way too big. And ugly. And scary. They were buzzards (also called vultures)! I kept trying to jump up to the roof, but I couldn’t jump that high. I don’t think I’d want to have these birds inside my house!
Mommy also told me about a house in the neighborhood that had a beach in the front yard! I couldn’t believe it, so she showed me a photo that she had taken last year. Isn’t it a cute little beach? And there are birds there too! OK, so they’re not real, but they’re house birds too! 😉

Woofs & hugs!

Hi! Bailey, I like your bird story! I’m not sure about the buzzards. Scary looking! An owl is the biggest bird I’ve seen around here. I don’t mess with him. If he’s out, I’m in!
OOh, an owl! I have never seen one of those! But if he’s big, I wouldn’t want to be outside with him either!
