I’ve been with my family almost 5 months, and in the beginning, I used to sleep nights in my ‘house.’ My mommy stays up really late at night, and so when I was a little puppy she would put me in my house before midnight.

Above are photos of my first smaller house, and my current bigger house.
As time went on, my mommy let me stay out with her later and later at night. She would put me in my house when she was ready to go ‘nite nite.’ I was OK with this, because by that time of the morning I was just so darn tired, that I plopped right down on my pillow and went to sleep. 😉
I am so excited to tell everyone that I’m allowed to do something new! You see, Nala sleeps with daddy and mommy in their room, and I’m not allowed in there when it’s ‘nite nite’ time. I’m OK with that, especially now that they just started to trust me being out of my ‘house’ all night. Yes! I can stay out of my house all night!
Yep, last night was the 3rd night I stayed out of my house. I didn’t want to say anything sooner, because I wasn’t sure if it was for keeps. My mommy and daddy leave their door open a little at night and I don’t even try to go inside. I get to sleep anywhere else in the whole entire house. I feel like such a big girl now, even though I’m still a puppy!
I usually move around a lot during the night — it’s no fun to sleep in just one spot! Sometimes I’ll sleep in my human sister’s room (but not on her bed when she’s sleeping — she moves around way too much for me), and then sometimes I’ll sleep on the couch, and occasionally I’ll sleep on the living room carpet.
Most of the time, I’ll sleep on the floor right outside my human sister’s room. In that corner it’s like my very own house (without bars). I can lay on my back and even put my feet up on the doors if I want. This is definitely my most favorite spot to sleep in.
So now that I don’t have to go inside my house at night, I’m going to see about staying out of it whenever my family leaves. Right now I can’t do that, because they’re worried that I will fight with Nala and get my teeth into everything I’m not supposed to. Well, they may be right about that, but maybe one day it’ll happen. I can dream, can’t I? 😉

Oh my goodness…that’s what I call sizing up! Your house looks so comfy and cozy
Way to go, Bailey!
You betcha I sized up! I was actually touching the ceiling of my smaller house, which is why my mommy bought me a bigger one. Now she’s hoping that I won’t outgrow this one! 🙂
Woofs & hugs,
~Bailey
Congrats on the big accomplishment!
