My Other Half

Just what is it?

My family seems pretty certain that I am part Belgian Shepherd. I have a dark face like a Malinois, and I have their temperament and smarts, too. Now if they could find out what my other half is.

Could it be a Leonberger? Whoah, these are HUGE dogs — they’re in the Mastiff family. These dogs seem to have the same personality traits as I do, and they’re also very smart.

If my other half was a Leonberger, it would help to explain my furry, floppy ears and longish fur. They also look like lions, which is what my family says I look like.

This Leonberger mix dog (right) looks like me too! His name is Wesley, and he lives in Whitby, ON, He’s also looking for his furever home. 🙂

Is my other half an Anatolian Shepherd? Could possibly be!

Anatolian Shepherds are also big dogs (though not as big as the Leonberger), who have floppy ears and a dark face… like me! This Anatolian Shepherd mix doggie (left) is named, Lady. She lives in Humble, TX, and she’s looking for her furever home.

Here’s another Anatolian Shepherd mix (right) that has the same dark face and floppy ears. This little girl is looking for her furever home too. Her name is Sienna, and she lives in Irvine, CA.

Everyone keeps asking my mommy and daddy what my other half is. Sure there are a few other dogs that I resemble, like the Australian Shepherd and the Labrador Shepherd, but I guess it really doesn’t matter what my other half is.

I think, what matters most is that I’m happy. And that, I truly am. 🙂
