Prize Package!

Remember recently when I won the 2011 Spectacular Tongue Tacular Contest Fan Vote? Well… I received my prize package! Wanna see what I won? 😉

A few weeks ago I entered a contest over at Anna the GSD‘s blog. It was a tongue contest! I sent in a really cute picture of me with my tongue sticking out, but I didn’t win (you can see it here — it’s the second photo).

The winner was a kitty named Link (read Link’s post about his prize)! But I didn’t know that there would also be a fan vote. I was so happy to learn that I won that! (Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for me!) I didn’t expect to receive anything, so when I found out that Anna was going to send me a prize package, I was so excited. I couldn’t wait to see what I’d get!

When the package came last Friday, mommy couldn’t keep me off of it.
She put it on the floor so I could get a good sniff.

Huh? What’s this? KITTY stuffz?!

I looked at mommy. “Hey mommy,” I said.
“Anna has a wicked sense of humor.
She sent me kitty stuffz!
I don’t want to upset her… should I try playing with it?”

On that note, mommy immediately took all the goodies away from me, lest I destroy them all. “Awww, sorry Bailey,” mommy said. “Anna must have mixed up your package with Link’s prize package. Link must be as confused as you, since he received all doggie things.”

I would have loved to see the look on Link’s face when he received my doggie package! I bet he also got a good laugh! And I discovered this was true, after I received an email from him. Link told me, “I received my goodies from Anna in the mail, and it’s all dog stuff. Oddly enough, I am a cat…”

Haha, yep! Our good friend Anna has some sense of humor! But she’s so sweet — we didn’t have the heart to tell her.

Link and I each told our mommies to send our packages to each other. Just a few more days!

Well I received my package from Link (thank you!). Yay!

I’m really anxious to see what’s inside!

While I checked out the outside of the package,
Nala came over and decided to look inside.

Nala took her head out of the box.

“Oh…” she said.

I looked up at her and asked, “What do you mean, OH?”

“Oh, you gotta have a look at this,” she said with a chuckle.

“Why, what is it?” I curiously asked.

I tried to get a look, but Nala wouldn’t take her head out of the box.
“What is it, Nala?” I asked more loudly. I couldn’t wait any longer.

With her head still in the box, Nala said laughingly,
“I hope you like kitty stuffz.”

“Whaaaaaaaa?!” I yelled. “Let me see!” I exclaimed.

As I pushed my face down into the package, Nala yelled, “APRIL FOOL’S!” Hahahaaaa!!

She got me. Good one, Nala. I wonder if Anna did this as an early April Fool’s prank.

I admit it… you guys got me.

Now can I see my prizes? 😉

Awesome! A rubber ball man! Cooool! I love rubber stuffz!

Next there was a giraffe-type stuffy toy. I grabbed it and ran away, still with the tags on. HS had to chase me down so she could remove the tags.

The biggest prize, was a package of Canine Cuisine Cookies! Super YUM! Because I DO deserve the best. 😉

I looked away for an instant, and Nala made a grab for the cookies.

Oh no you don’t, my sister. I love cookies!

Mine, mine, & MINE!

Nala tried to have a look at my stash,
which I conveniently gathered into a corner.

“Oh no, Nala,” I said. “Remember..? You can’t eat anything hard, yet.” muahaha

I grabbed my rubber man and ran.

And spent the rest of the night tossing my giraffe stuffy into the air.

I had lots of fun entering this contest, Anna. Thank you again for holding it, and for sending me my prize package! Please don’t worry about the mix-up. It made my prize that much better to receive, and I gained a wonderful new friend in the process (even though he is a kitty). 😉
