Nala and I went to the doctor today — it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but I still didn’t love the car ride there…
Do you think I could drive today?
Whatcha think?
Bah! I really don’t like riding in the car…
That person just went through a red light.
Sunday driver!
Are we there yet? Oh! We are. π
So how do these check ups work?
Does the doctor make car visits,
or do we need to go in to see him?
Nala told me not to be scared. She said that the doctor
isn’t going to do anything to me, today.
Nala: “Muahahaha…”
Nala didn’t tell me that there was a kitty cat
right behind me in the waiting room!
And another one right next to me, but high up.
The kitty cats just sat there watching us.
I told Nala I was a little nervous. She told me not to worry,
because I was just there for her support.
When we got inside the room, Nala started to get a little nervous.
Did she notice the leash on her head? I don’t know.
I wasn’t nervous, but Nala was shaking.
Hey! I thought I was just here for support!
No one told me I was getting a
Bordatella vaccine today!
The doctor tried bribing Nala with a cookie. She was so weak.
The doctor thought he could bribe me with a cookie.
He was right.
The doctor looked at Nala’s eye, and said that it was
healing nicely. My, what a big eye you have there, Nala!
The doctor also looked at Nala’s teeth. I told him that
the 2 on the right side were still gone, but he still
had to check it himself.
“Hey Doc, you need any help?”
The doctor looked at the teeth he pulled
on the left side of Nala’s mouth. He said
those healed very well too.
I tried to see what the doctor was doing, but I couldn’t.
He was removing the stitches on Nala’s thigh.
“Hey, can I get another one of those cookies?”
Sorry Nala, but I was glad to be on the floor the entire time!
You still smell the same. The doctor did a good job!
You’d better put some blinders on me as we
walk through the gift shop…I see some cute
dinner bowls comin’ up on the right.
I turned around to make sure that Nala had her seat belt on.
Mommy bought me a nice, new seat belt harness. It was black to
match my leash. I gave Nala back her girlie red leash,
turned around, and we headed home.
Yay! It didn’t take too long to get home.
Next time I need to see the doctor, I’m
taking Nala with me for support!
Ooooh, I forgot to mention that I now weigh 60.4 lbs! Nala weighs an itty bitty 27 lbs. hehe π

Thanks so much for sharing your vet visit pictures with us. You’re so lucky to have so many vet visit pictures, I don’t have any at all because my mom always forgets to bring her camera with her whenever we go to the vet. Sigh!!! She’s aging!!!

Not the nose drops! I was promised the last time no bum shots and the Dr. still gave me one. Katy and I have been told no more promises about what will happen at the vets. She is very unpredictable.

The doctor gave me a thumbs up for good health, and Nala (who just had some surgeries done last month), is on the mend (she still has to wear one of those scary cones though).

OOOH I didn’t know bordetella vaccine is administered through the nose. Looked like you two behaved very well at the Vet. Hope you got plenty of cookies after reaching home!
It certainly is! I don’t know yet if that’s better than getting a shot! I’ll let you know when I’m due for my next round of shots. π

You were both so well behaved and brave for the v-e-t! I do not like going there and I shiver and shake and cry. I took Quinn with me for moral support but he is too mellow and didn’t have a single complaint and thought everything went well. Glad the stitches came out and the teeths are healing, Nala!
TY!! I wasn’t too afraid of the doctor, until they took my temperature… then I thought, “I’m not coming here again!”

Looks like you guys had a great visit with the doctor. I am glad you have each other for support. I just have Mommy. But she feeds me treats while the doctor checks me out. Nala, you look great with the leash on your head. And Bailey, I had to get a new seatbelt harness too!! Now that I am growing.

Awww, ty Tanner! Mommy would let me have lots of treats at the doctor, but then we’d go back in the car and my tummy would be all nervous… so I’m not allowed to have more than one treat at the doctor’s. How much do you weigh now, Tanner? I just passed 60 lbs. Five more lbs and I’ll have to get a new harness!
