I know I must have had other plans today, but instead of doing something fun, I ended up going to the doctor.
For 2 days now, I have not pooped! It started the night before last, and mommy thought it was time I get checked out. Sooo, mommy told me we were going for a ride in the car…

She put my harness on, but I wasn’t in the mood to wear it.
I ripped it a little while trying to get it off…

Are you sure I have to go to the doctor?

Come on mommy, get in the car! I want to get this over with.
When we first arrived, there was a mean German Shepherd dog in the waiting room. Mommy, me and MT waited over near the shop, where the mean doggie couldn’t see us. π

While we were waiting, a couple of Dachshunds walked in.
They seemed very nice.

A Mastiff was finished with his appointment, and was ready to leave.

After the mean dog left, mommy and MT took me to get weighed.
Today I weighed 59.1 lbs. When I was here 9 days ago,
I weighed 60.4 lbs!

I think I smell a kitty!
A girl came out and asked us to follow her into a room. Once we got inside, I jumped up on the bench to sit.

Mommy asked me if I was scared. Of course I was scared!
Then she said, “Don’t be scared…. you’re on Scare Tactics.”
Not sure what that means, but MT laughed.

Ahhhh, I remember this from the last time…
the thermometer! I tried to escape…

I was so ready to leave… I don’t need to see the doctor!

Oh! What’s that you have there, MT?
Are you trying to distract me?

What’s taking him so long? Doesn’t he know I have
other important things to be doing?

Maybe I could look up my records on the computer.

Heyyy… the reason I’m here isn’t listed on this chart!

I hear something! Could it be the doctor?

It was the doctor alright… and his assistant. Why is he looking in my ears?
That’s not where my problem is, doc…

The doctor felt my tummy, and said it felt normal.

Oh no, a rubber glove can’t be good…
The doctor took me away to see if I would poop outside. He also got a sample to test for parasites. They also took an x-ray of my tummy, just to be sure everything was OK.

Mommy took a pic of one of the murals while she was waiting.

The doctor brought me back into the room. No poop!
So I waited with mommy and MT for the results of my test and x-ray.

We waited, and waited…

And waited some more…

What time is it? Don’t we have to leave?

My mommy is so easily amused.

The doctor came back into the room and went over my x-ray.

He said I have a bit of gas (the dark areas on the x-ray).
That could explain all the burping I’ve been doing.
He said that I probably have diarrhea, and not constipation. He prescribed some medicine to take twice a day for seven days, and said it may take a few days for things to start moving again.

MT loves me. <3

We walked through the store as we were leaving.
MT picked out a new mat for outside our front door.
(Picture below)

They’ve got some awesome stuffz in their store!

I was sooo ready to go home.

Hi MT! *wave*

Here’s our new door mat!
I can’t wait for people to see it! π
UPDATE: Since I’ve been home, I’ve taken my medicine twice. What do you know… I pooped! Twice!
I think I’m on the road to recovery. π

What a great trip to the vet! I wish I worked at that vet! I love that store and the floor mat is hilarious – I haven’t seen that one before π
I’m glad things are “moving along” for you, love.
Awww, thank you! I love my doctor, but the glove… not so much!
We sure hope you get better fast, love the doormat!

I’m starting to feel better already, thanks!! I like the doormat too! π
Hi! Bailey! That was fun, kinda going to the doctor with you! (glad it was you though and not me!) So glad you are better! Luv your new mat!
Thanks for going with me! Next time, YOU go in first! π
Glad you got things “moving along”!! I don’t even want to think about that glove! I thought the thermometer was bad!! Ouch! π
Thank you! You’re right — I have no words to describe the glove!
Hey Bailey,
So happy you’re ok!! Very impressed with how many pics your Mum got of you at the vets, when we go it’s a bit hectic as I get so excited, so it’s really hard for my Mum to take many pics…..:)
Loving the new mat! π
Your pal Snoopy π
Awww, thanks Snoopy! How does it feel to be 1 year old? Anything different? Whatcha get for your birthday? π
Woofs & hugs,
~Bailey
So glad to hear everything “came out alright” π after you got home from the vet. I bet you were just too busy playing to do your business!
Yep, that’s it. I am just too busy to poop! teehee! π
Good to know the medicine worked! Sometimes my spotted sister would not poop for 2 – 3 days. It’s not because she has some kind of problem like constipation. It’s just that she does NOT like pooping! She would hold until she can’t hold it anymore. She does not like the feeling of “stuff” coming out of where the sun don’t shine. There were times when she would yelp when it comes out & then she would quickly bolt away once she’s done. BOL!
OOOH I like that doormat! Very funny.
Yikes! Choosing not to poop? I guess I can understand that… heh. I don’t like pooping when anyone else is watching. When mommy follows me behind the pool (where I go for privacy), I stare at her and wonder, “what is she doing watching me?! ” She just doesn’t get it. π
I like the door mat too! Too bad it doesn’t say “dogs” instead of “dog.” Maybe I’ll grab a marker and make a change…
So happy to hear this, Bailey. It’s no fun when I have to poop and mommy isn’t ready to go for a walk. I can only imagine how you felt. I love the new mat!!!
Puppy kisses,
Tanner
TY Tanner!!
