The other day we lost more than 1000 photos, and lots of videos that were stored on an SD card. Because of this, I couldn’t do the review of the new toys Nala and I got. Today I’m gonna review those toys, and tell you which program I used to recover all of my files from the SD card.
As soon as my mommy discovered that an entire folder filled with precious photos and videos had disappeared from her SD card, she panicked. She couldn’t imagine losing the visual reminders of those memories. She immediately began searching online for recovery software. She downloaded one free program, but it wasn’t able to locate any of the files. She found another free program, and that did locate a couple of hundred files, but they were invalid when opened. Neither of these programs were able to retrieve the missing files from the SD card.
Then she found WinRecovery Software. According to the CardRecoveryTM website:
-
This is the leading photo recovery software for memory card used by digital camera. It can effectively recover lost, deleted, corrupted or formatted photos and video files from various memory cards. It supports almost all memory card types including SD (Secure Digital) Card, CF (Compact Flash) Card, xD Picture Card, Memory Stick, MicroDrive, SmartMedia Card, MMC (MultiMediaCard), MicroSD, MiniSD, SDHC and more.
Now I don’t know if it’s the leading software, but it has worked for many people. Although this program wasn’t free, my mommy downloaded it.
Besides making recovery software for SD cards, they also make software for recovering lost or deleted photos from CDs/DVDs, or hard drives (all for the Windows Operating System).
If you’ve ever lost photos and/or videos, you know how much they mean to you. We downloaded the trial version of the CardRecoveryTM software, and saw that it was possible that we would get our photos back… but we needed to buy the software to unlock the full version. Of course we jumped on the chance and purchased.
After we unlocked the full version of the software, we were so happy that we were able to restore all of our photos and videos. π
CardRecoveryTM is available at this website, for $39.95. You may find other programs for less, but this is the one that worked for us after trying out two free programs. It was easy to use and understand.
Now for the review of our new toys, complete with photos saved by CardRecoveryTM:
I get excited about new toys, no matter how big they are. And these newest toys definitely are not big. This is good, ’cause they’re easy to pack if you want to take along a toy somewhere… and they’re easy to carry, ’cause they’re soft!
LOLdogTM an OurPet’s Brand Stuffed Doggie Toy
If you don’t know what emoticons are, they’re symbols or expressions that you create with letters, numbers and shapes. You can send them over the Internet via a text, email, or use them in chat. Some people use them all the time! Like this –> π
These LOLdogTM toys are stuffed emoticons, and there are a total of 10 different doggie faces you could get. including: angry, lovestruck, devil, zonked, angel, caffeinated (crazy), sly, nauseous, ninja and skull. Shouldn’t doggies have Internet fun too?
Look below for the Good Stuff vs. the Bad Stuff…

Don’t these guys look fun? The green one is Nala’s: He’s Nauseous!
Mine is the white one. Can you guess what his name is? He’s Skull!
These aren’t the ones I would have chosen,
but they were the only two that the store had.
They’re soft and round — great for chomping!
And they squeak, too!
It didn’t matter that Nala had the same toy as me. I still wanted hers.
This toy is sooo much fun to catch!
Over…
and over…
Come to me, Skully!
I kept giving it back to mommy so she could throw it to me.
It’s squooshy between my teeth. S Q U E A K!
I ran around so much that I needed a little break.
This toy is MINE! It’s tasty too! (Nah, it’s not. Teehee!)
I wasn’t the only one who had fun catching this toy…
Nala had fun catching hers, too!
GRRRR… doesn’t Nala look mean?
I bet Nala wanted to climb this wall. But she didn’t have to.
The ball eventually came down and she caught it.
Heh. The laws of gravity. π
Nala really enjoyed playing with this toy,
especially since I let her. Heh.
Hmmm… Something outside distracted me while my toy was
in my mouth. It fell out when I barked. Has anyone seen it?
Maybe it fell behind the couch… Let me go see.
Ummm, Nala? It looks like that’s my toy.
Do you think I could have it back?
When we were done playing, as she always does, mommy put Nala’s
toy up on the desk so I wouldn’t mistakenly think it was mine.
But she wasn’t finished playing!
She took down her toy and started playing with it all over again.
Here’s my toy after just a couple of hours of playing with it. Look how dirty it is!
Mommy can’t understand why my toy got so dirty — I didn’t even take it outside! The only thing I can think of, is that it kept rolling onto the concrete. Oh yeah. I just remembered. I dropped it right into my water bowl at one point, and then rolled it all over the house. Haha! Daddy couldn’t stop laughing. What a sense of humor he has. π
The Good Stuff:
- This stuffed toy is really soft — makes it easy and fun to hold.
- It squeaks!!
- It’s round, so it rolls. That makes it even more fun.
- It’s kinda small — just 4½″ in diameter.
- The faces don’t do anything for me, but they make my humans smile.
The Not-So-Good Stuff:
- It’s not a sturdy toy.
- I don’t see this toy holding up for long, especially with a chewer like me.
My conclusion?
This toy is probably best for smaller doggies and non-chewers. Big doggies like me could really rip this toy apart. Mommy had to watch closely and remind me not to eat it. Heh… I just looked at the tag which says, “Not intended for aggressive chewers.” Nice, mommy.
All doggies should be supervised when playing with any toy, really. And watch out for any open seams or tears. My mommy said when it was just Nala, and Nala used to tear her toys, she used to sew them back up. But with me, she just throws them away ’cause the holes are usually too big to sew.
Thanks again to CardRecoveryTM — I would have lost so many photos (including the ones in this post) if it weren’t for your software.
Oh yeah… I wanted to remind everyone that I have to approve all comments first, so you won’t see your comment show up right away. I have to approve comments first, ’cause if I don’t, there will be all kinds of non-family-friendly spam comments. Trust me. I’m looking around to see if there is another spam thingie I can use instead of recaptcha. I know that some of you aren’t too happy with it. Hopefully one day I’ll find something. π
Countdown:

hey Bailey,
What a pawsome toy review! They look like great toys, and I love how both you and Nala were playing catch and having so much fun! I think I would be too big for such a little ball, so thanks for that warning. I once swallowed a rubber ball and it was a pretty bad situation until it came out. Bad memories. So, I do need to make sure my toys are big enough that I won’t accidentally swallow them.
That is furry super your mom recovered all of her photos and videos. The photos are great, and you and Nala are just adorable! Love how you are a typical little sibling in wanting all the toys your big sibling has! ;->
Suka
Those toys are so adorable! Koly’s razor sharp puggle teeth would probably rip ’em to shreds, but they’d be adorable while he did it π
The photo recovery program you found sounds like a godsend! And it is not that expensive! Bailey, you and Nala sure seemed like you enjoyed those toys…I used to like to rip open my stuffies when I was a pup but not so much anymore.
Great catches, Bailey! Nala looks like she is pretty good too. Gus isn’t very skilled at catching things in his mouth.
What fun looking toys, our dogs don’t take care of stuffies very well though…
Rudy’s Raiser
That was a great review and those balls do look like fun…while they last for you! Oh, losing pictures and videos is scary, thanks for the tip!
Those look like fun toys, but I think I would destroy them really really fast. I think I’ll just stick to my filled bones and rubber toys for now. Thanks for the great review and I am so very glad that you were able to recover your photos.
Puppy Kisses,
Tanner
I don’t think those would last very long in our home, but they do look like fun!! I’m glad you were able to save your pics. Mom would cry if that happened to her!
AROOOF!
Boondocks
What a great review – they sure look like fun to play with – even if it’s only for a short time. We will keep that program in mind if we ever need it – thanks for sharing
Bailey,
Those toys look so funny, I really like them, plus they look like lots of fun, you’re such a lucky pup!! π
Your pal Snoopy π

Those look like fun toys. We have some round items like that. Bailey steals Katy’s toys all the time.
Glad you found something effective to get your pictures back. Mom was really upset when she lost Bailey’s baby pictures.
What a fun new toy! Did you know I like to play fetch too? MAybe I’m really a doggie…
We’re very sorry you lost your photos. At least you were able to get them back though. Marmie’s external hard drive died earlier this year and she lost EVERYTHING. I wonder if they have software for external hard drive recovery?
