Little Orange Tree

I took a walk with my mommy around one side of our house, and there was this little orange tree… some of the oranges were orange, but most of them were GREEN!

Before I tell you about my orange tree, I want to let you know that I’ve added a “Grab My Button” link in the column to the right! I’d LOVE for you to place it on your site. Woofies! πŸ™‚

Also, if you have a moment, please sign this petition to let the Ukraine know that it’s NOT OK to burn stray animals alive in mobile crematoriums to make way for the thousands of people who will be attending the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. It’s NOT OK!

One more thing… those of you who have lizards (geckos) where you live, how do you keep them from jumping inside your house when you open the door?! One came in yesterday morning, and mommy chased it under the couch invader. After she went to get something to catch it with, it disappeared! I guess we had a real trick played on us for Halloween!

Now for my orange tree…

My mommy told me that we used to have another orange tree many years ago — it used to be in our backyard. They had to get rid of it because it was right in the spot where the pool is now. I guess it wouldn’t be good to have a tree sticking out of the pool, huh?

The tree on the side of our house doesn’t really produce good oranges, but it’s nice to look at and it smells good! πŸ™‚

Wish we got cute little geckos in the house! The best (well–worst!) we get is spiders and moths, urgh.

    Nice tree!

  4. 2browndawgs says:

Do you think the couch invader ate the gecko?

    the 2 brown dawgs

  5. GREEN oranges??!! How weird! Best they taste horrible! πŸ™‚ But maybe they just need time to ripen…

As for the lizards…at least you don’t have a kitty sister who actually catches them and keeps BRINGING them into the house and releasing them everywhere! My humans keep tripping over lizards scurrying around room corners, all missing a tail! *rolleyes*

It would be great to go outside and pick an orange off your tree for juice, but those sort of look like limes right know. Also, we are curious how in the world did you a Mango tree in your yard. Did Mango come over and leave some of his DNA out there. BOL Sniffs, The HoundDogs

  7. I see you are wearing your harness, too!!! Are you going on another car ride? You are getting pretty good at them, arent’ you??

p.s.s. My comment from yesterday did not show up, and now the one I wrote today for this post is not showing up. Am I doing something wrong?

  11. Suka says:

    hey Bailey,

I think an orange tree would be very cool in the middle of a pool, kind-of like a little oasis! :-> Sorry that your new orange tree is not bearing much fruit. It is very cute. Maybe with a lot of love and patience, and some fertilizer from you with love (BOL!), it will grow big and strong and give you lots of big, juicy oranges!

We are definitely signing the petition. How horrendous! What is going on with some humans around the world?! The hate and violence – it is getting to be too much. I think it is time for dogs to rule and get out all the nasty mean humans.

    p.s. cute photos!!

A LIZARD came in your house fur Howl O Ween??? THAT is soooooo cool.

  14. Too bad you can’t get those oranges to taste better – it would be so cool to just go outside and pick one for breakfast:)

Look at those oranges! Yum yum. Have to wait until they turn over! I once had a gecko come into the house when I lived in Arizona and I couldn’t sleep all night wondering where it was. I believe I slept with the lights on that night. I am a complete wimp.

  16. Peruby says:

Well now, I don’t know. There you are floating in your pool on the big plastic blow up raft and you sigh. Wish I had an orange. You reach up and voila! There you can pick an orange right off the tree and eat it. Sounds yummy to me. But then there is the disposal of the peeling. Hmmm.
