My furry friend Sugar the Golden Retriever, really inspires me! She can balance lots of bones on her nose! My furry sister, Nala, could balance lotsa stuff on her nose, but me — not so much. After seeing Sugar’s post about her balancing acts, I thought I would try some balancing of my own. π
WARNING: Silly Post Ahead…
Before I get to my post, I want to share more of Sugar’s balancing acts. Please click here to see Sugar and her amazzzing sense of balance. You GO girl!
Now to be silly-fied…
This past May, I tried to do some of the basic tricks that Nala could do. I couldn’t sit up (still can’t), I couldn’t roll over (not happening), and I couldn’t balance a bone on my nose (well, not on purpose, anyway).
So, the other day after I saw Sugar doing such an amazing balancing act, I decided to try it again. I figured that since I’ve been doing really well with other stuff, maybe I could now balance something on my nose. Wanna see how I did? π

Nala went first and balanced a toy bone on her nose.

Hey, I could do this one.

Does this pass for balancing?

Nala can easily balance a bone on her nose.

She’s such a show off! Heh.

I told my mommy I can’t balance any FOOD
on my nose, but she kept trying anyway.
As long as I can smell it, it’s not staying up there.

It’s on my HEAD — that’s close enough, isn’t it?

THERE, it’s on my nose. Now can I eat it?

Then mommy got some crazy ideas about balancing other stuff.
She started grabbing stuff from around the house. She was like…
“What else can I grab that’s within arms reach?” So, first there
was my fishie toy, which I balanced with no problem.

Nala did it too, but she’d much rather balance a bone.

Then there was the Chinese noodle,
which tasted delicious, btw.

Nala loves them too.

Then mommy got crazy again, and had us
balance a hair clip! I had no trouble.

Nala, on the other hand, kept wanting to
catch it as it was falling, and eat it!

She eventually stayed still and balanced it.

Oh come on, a SHOE? Nala didn’t
like that one, but she did it anyway.

Yeah, I hated balancing the shoe too.

The toy fox was much more fun, for Nala…

AND for me.

Crazy ideas… my mommy’s filled with them.
Next for us to balance, was a pillow!

Ta da!
How’d we do, Sugar? π

Bailey,
You did great!! You looked like you were going cross-eyed trying to see that bone treat on your nose!! Such patience!! Mum’s can be silly sometimes, I think you just have to humour them….. I have to balance a hair clip on my head every day!! π
Glad you’re having fun and there seemed to be plenty of foodie compensation for your tricks,
Your pal Snoopy π

You guys are too funny! Sam will balance most things non-edible on his head, but we’ve decided we like our fingers too much to try to get him to balance food! (He is a land shark when it comes to nom-noms!)
Sam
BOL!!! Both of you are amazing as Sugar and your patience is terrific.
May be I should try it on Eva too, :))
That is some NICE balancing π
