Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats

My mommy received some doggie treats to review over at MyParenTime.com, and since she doesn’t care much for doggie treats, she asked Nala and me if we would enjoy reviewing them for her. Well of course we said, “Yeah!”

Look below for the Good Stuff vs. the Not-So-Good Stuff…

King Voltaire®, Natural Dog Treats, from Cloud Star Corporation

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
These natural doggie treats come in a colorful box.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
Yeah, yeah, the box is pretty. We just needed to open it.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
Nala and I looked at each other — did mommy want us to
rip open the box ourselves? ‘Cause we would have, ya know.
But we decided to wait until she opened it for us.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
Wowserz, something smelled good in there!

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
They looked very interrrresting, even while still in the bag.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
I couldn’t wait to taste them.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
Since the cookies were a bit hard to bite, mommy let
me go first. Nala just looked on and waited for her turn.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
These cookies are all-natural, low-fat, and tasted really good!

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
Nala couldn’t wait to try them.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
But since she’s 13-years-old and has sensitive teeth, she can’t
chew anything that’s really hard. She had to wait for mommy to break them.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
She enjoyed them once she was able to eat them.

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
There are 6 cookie shapes!

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
There’s a castle, a star, a plane, a crown,
the King Voltaire doggie, and a squirrel!

Product Review: King Voltaire Natural Dog Treats
Nala and I enjoyed these doggie treats, and can’t wait until
we get to try them again. Now we’re gonna go catch a squirrel!
Teehee!

Ingredients…

Wheat flour, rice bran, chicken meal, oat hulls, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), carrots, and peas.

The Good Stuff:

  • They’re cookies!
  • They’re all-natural, and low-fat.
  • There’s NO corn, yeast, sugar, salt, soy or egg ingredients — great for doggies with these allergies.
  • There are no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives
  • As part of Cloud Star’s commitment to giving back, they have pledged to donate at least 10% of their net profits to non-profit organizations that benefit animals, women, children, and the environment.
  • There are “6 fun shapes!”
  • Chicken pot pie flavor was really tasty.
  • They’re made in the USA.

The Not-So-Good Stuff:

  • These cookies are a bit harder than the cookies I like to eat, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying them. They were way too hard for Nala (my 13-year-old furry sister) to chew.
  • According to this website, oat hulls, which is one of the ingredients, is one ingredient that should be avoided in doggie food products.
  • My mommy would have liked the pieces to be a bit smaller — sometimes she wants to give us a small treat, and many of the shapes are larger and harder to break into two.

My conclusion?

I enjoyed eating these doggie treats, even if they were a bit hard. I didn’t care what shape they were — and hey, did I mention that one of the shapes is a squirrel?! Teehee! πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Y’all,

Looks yummy but not something I can eat. I hear my Humans say they wish they could give me all the great goodies y’all get. So much for allergies. Sigh.

That looks like an interesting treat. And such a detailed review. I would prefer if they were bite sized, though.

There are so many doggie treats to choose from but I sure appreciate a review!

And after reading of the little lost doggie, I know this must be so hard on all that are wanting her home safe and sound and SOON!

  7. Mr. Pip says:

They do look yummy. I have the same problem with my teeth that Nala has. My mom has to break everything for me. I am not quite as patient as Nala when I am waiting.

Now sure our humans would buy those for us because they only buy us small sized treats. πŸ™ But they sound yummy and we like the fun shapes!
