A couple of days ago, I posted about my surprise trip to Doggie Daycare. I still had no idea why I had gone…
When Taylor has friends over…
I mentioned yesterday that when Taylor has friends over, I’m not allowed to go into her room. It’s not that Taylor never lets me in there, in fact, she has no choice but to let me in. I usually just barge right in when her friends arrive (like I’m part of the group). But I guess I can’t be the center of attention the entire time. Usually they want to play GAMES. Blech! Who wants to play games when I’m around?! Board games are no fun for me, and I usually stomp all over them. This is why I eventually have to stay out of her room. Oh yeah… it may also be ’cause I keep barking at the friends I don’t know. Heh.
Now for What’s This? Daycare?? Part 2…

The next day, mommy treated Nala and me to some cream cheese. I ate mine in record time, and was so happy. Shortly after, I started to feel a little funny. I started wobbling a little, and felt extremely tired. I could barely keep my eyes open.
Before I knew it, I was in the car, headed right for Doggie Daycare again! But this time, it was different.

While in the car, I continued to feel really tired.

Everything looked really funny. It looked like things were moving!

I started to feel dizzy, so I tried closing my eyes.

I couldn’t help but take a nap until we reached Doggie Daycare.

By the time we had gotten inside, I was feeling very different.

This photo looks how I was feeling!
I was a little upset when I found out that my mommy didn’t follow me into the room, but when I refused to walk any further, she started to follow. When I went into my temporary housing and they closed the door, I jumped up on the bars and my mommy came close. She told me she would be back soon, and told me I would be OK. On this day, I ended up staying at Doggie Daycare for about 4 hours.

I was so excited when mommy picked me up, but I was still very tired.

I ended up sleeping on the way home.
I found out later, that my doctor suggested I take some medicine called “Ace.” It would make me less nervous, so I wouldn’t care about staying in Doggie Daycare. I heard my family talking later that night, and I found out that they were going to be taking an overnight trip, and they wanted to get me used to being without them. They did not want me making myself as sick as the last time they went away.
I think the medicine worked on my anxiety for the most part, but my family thinks that one tablet is just too much (’cause I was so tired for the rest of the day). Mommy said that the next time she would try giving me just a ½ tablet. Next time?! Ah!

Hi Bailey, we hope all this day care business sorts out fine. They must all be nice people to care about your welfare so much. We are very lucky cause we have grown up human siblings who always looks after us if mum and dad are away. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
Oh dear! How scary for you Bailey. At least your Momma is trying to lesson the stress on you while she goes away overnight……. without you! (sniff! sniff!) If I didn’t live in Ontario you could stay heren with Freddie and Gloria. Good luck!
Is you sure dat ting you ate before you left wasn’t spiked wit beer or sometin? Just wonderin’…..Mommy is tryin’ to trick you!
I agree about those silly games that Peeps play… they make me BOARD too.. hehehehe
I guess it is a good thingy to practice going to the daycare place… in preperation fur.. that LONG stay.
uh oh! Sounds like Mommy and Daddy have something special planned. Don’t worry, Bailey! Doggy camp can be fun! You meet lots and lots of new friends! And you can bark whenever you want! They don’t make you “hush” there.
Doggy Kisses,
Tanner
wooo how scary. I know how you feel about mom’s leaving for a while. I am lucky that I love going to Bert’s Doggie Day Care. But still I would rather be with the MM.
Blessings,
Goose
Poor Bailey!! Maybe it will not be as bad as you think! The people do look like they are nice!

We can totally relate to this. We have never ever been boarded before. We pretty much freak out when we get “abandoned” at the groomer’s. Even though we are only there for two hours. We do NOT like it when our humans leave us anywhere without them. So, we really do understand what you are going through Bailey. Our hearts go out to you. We sure do hope that the medicine stuff works for you. It’s just awful when you get sick!! Mama and Daddy haven’t figured out what to do with us…so only one of them goes away at a time. Note from Mama…this is the reason we bought the RV. We couldn’t leave the girlz with anybody. And they would definitely get sick if we tried the boarding thing. We wish you luck!! xoxo Chloe, LadyBug and the mama
