Recently I was contacted by the President of a new Premium Freeze-Dried Pet Treat Company. This nice man asked if I would review his new food treats for dogs and cats. You want me to review food?! How could I say no? π
The name of the company is called, Terra PawsTM, and they are on their way to becoming well known in the industry with their freeze-dried pet treats. And coincidentally, these new freeze-dried pet treats couldn’t have come at a better time. Remember, Nala and I are supposed to go up into space soon! What better way is there to get used to eating freeze-dried treats, than to eat freeze-dried treats!
Before I get to my review, I want to tell you a little bit about the products that Terra PawsTM makes. They make all-natural pet treats that contain no corn, wheat, soy, gluten, sugar, preservatives, additives or fillers. There’s nothing artificial — just two simple, all-natural ingredients are contained in each pouch.
The company is based and operated in the USA, and all of the ingredients in their pet treats are produced to human grade standards in USDA certified facilities. When it come to your pets, you don’t want anything less.
At this time there are Beef Liver & Sweet Potato Pet Treats, and Sweet Potato & Chicken flavor Pet Treats.

Beef Liver
Nala: “I think this one was my favorite.”

Sweet Potato
Nala: “I think this one was my favorite.”

Chicken
Nala: “I think this one was my favorite.”
Bailey: “Nala, they can’t all be your favorite.
Nala: “Yeah. They can. ;)”
There are many new products arriving soon, so you’ll wanna stay tuned. I heard from a reliable source that this summer they’ll be releasing their one-ingredient packages of turkey, chicken, sweet potato, beef liver and chicken liver. Those sound so yummy! I personally can’t wait for the all-natural food toppers! Ahhh! I’ve said too much already.
Look below for the Good Stuff vs. the Not-So-Good Stuff…

Look Nala, the sample packs from Terra PawsTM came.

I can’t wait to open the envelope and have a sniff!

I wonder if this envelope is freeze-dried too?

Nala, are you hiding my Terra PawsTM package?

Nala: “Package? What package?” *pushes package under pillow*
“I don’t see any package.” *shrug*
Since Nala wasn’t in a cooperating mood, I got mommy to help open the package. She took out one of the plastic baggies that held the freeze-dried treats, and held one out to me.

Hey, this stuff tastes pretty good! Nala, why don’t you have a taste.

You’re right, Bailey. My tongue is very happy right now.

It says here that Terra PawsTM Freeze-Dried Pet Treats contain
no corn, wheat, soy, gluten or sugar… and that there are no
preservatives, additives, or fillers.

Hmmm… if there aren’t any of those things in it,
what are they made of?

Nala: “It says here that there’s nothing artificial. It’s all natural.”

Nala: “There are 3 flavors for us to try… chicken, sweet potatoes, and beef liver.
Ahhh! I can’t stand it… when can we eat them?”

Let’s try the beef liver first.

Well OK Nala, you can go first. Let me know what you think.

Nala?

Um, Nala?

Sorry… I couldn’t help myself. I give it 2 paws up!

My turn! I couldn’t decide which I wanted first, so
mommy put all of the flavors out for me to taste.

It’s really more proper to eat on the table,
though I should have had my plate.

As you can tell, I’m really enjoying this!

Mommy didn’t need to vacuum the table.
I made sure to get every last crumb!

Hey! You can’t go first again! SHARE!

That really was pretty darn good!

Hey, no more? Nala, did you eat it all?!

Bailey: “Let me look under here… maybe I missed some.”
Nala: “I think I’m sitting on some chicken.”

I really think I could get used to eating freeze-dried treats!
Is that all they eat in space?

Nala: “More?”
Bailey: “Yeah, if you go second this time!”

Nala: “Hey, what’s the bowl for?”
Bailey: “The paper says we can put the treats in water!”
Nala: “Why would we wanna do that?”
Bailey: “It says that the treats taste good moistened too!”
Nala: “Whaaa? Do they want us to think we’re eating people food?”

Let me have a taste of the sweet potato, mommy.

I did enjoy that. Now for a little water…
Nala (from the background): “Hey, how come I don’t get to try the people food?”

Nala: “Exactly how many packets were we sent?”
Bailey: “4. Why do you want to know?”

Nala: “Are you suuuure? ‘Cause I only see, uh.. 3.”

Bailey: “Whaaat?”
Nala: “Look away! Nothing to see here!”

For a special treat, mommy sprinkled some of the freeze-dried
treats on top of our dinner. This made our food extra tasty!

When you’ve got an idea, you just have to run with it!
I’m just gonna run with this one, K?

It’s MINE!

Nala and I thank Terra PawsTM for letting us get a first-hand look at their new products. Thanks Terra PawsTM!
The Good Stuff:
- They’re all-natural. Natural is the healthiest.
- They’re gluten, soy, and corn-free. Who wants to eat gluten, soy and corn, anyway?
- The treats have an 18-month shelf life. I doubt mine will last that long! I’m sure they’ll be gone in no time!
- The company only uses US-harvested and sourced ingredients that are freeze-dried to retain the natural nutrients, enzymes and amino acids of the fresh ingredients. Boy, that’s a lot of positive stuff!
- The treats are way easy to break apart. This is AWESOME! You know how hard some of the dog treat bones are to break? VERY! Mommy LOVES that these treats are easy to break. The beef liver was easier to crumble than the chicken and sweet potato. It doesn’t matter much to me, but mommy loves it… so it’s awesome in my doggie book. π
- Not only does mommy love these treats… Nala, who recently had a few teeth removed due to breakage from hard bones, had no trouble at all chewing the freeze-dried treats. Let’s just say that she woofed them down! So, these treats are good for youngsters like me, and for senior furries! Sorry Nala. I mean adult furries.
- No refrigeration is necessary. This is great! Pop a bag in your pocket and feed me when I ask for it. I mean, reward me when I’m good.
- They’re great for furries with allergies. All-natural goodness makes a happy furry. π
- Freeze-drying keeps all the natural nutrients, enzymes and amino acids of the original product. That’s good, ’cause I wouldn’t want them to lose anything in the process!
- These treats are high in vitamins and minerals: A, B, C, Retinol, Calcium, Potassium and many more. Vitamins are good for people and their pets! Yet another thing we have in common! π
- You can serve these treats anytime! They’re great to eat as a snack (although it’s really hard to eat just one), as a special treat, with your dinner, and they’re really great for training. Nala’s trained already! You see those Terra PawsTM treats, Nala? They’re MINE!
- The treats come in small packages. I love this ’cause you can keep an entire package all for yourself! (OK, this comment is not mine. NALA! *Just for the record… I do not agree that you should hide packages of Terra PawsTM Pet Treats from your other furry family members. But the small size IS great for your human to carry around! Treats to go! Yeah!)
- New, smaller pouches will be available this summer! They’ll feature only 1 ingredient each, in your choice of turkey, chicken, sweet potato, beef liver and chicken liver ($4.99 retail). There will also be an all-natural food topper ($7.99 retail)! Watch for them!
- Wowserz, there’s a lot of good stuff!
The Not-So-Good Stuff:
Nala and I tried very hard to find something not-so-good about these freeze-dried pet treats from Terra PawsTM, but there were none!
Nala: “What about the chicken liver?”
Bailey: “What about it?”
Nala: “Didn’t mommy want you to mention how easily the chicken liver crumbled?”
Bailey: “Oh yeah.”
- Just so you know… Nala and I do not find this to be a bad thing (mommy doesn’t either). Eventually the food is gonna get crumbled anyway (Nala: “Yeah, in our mouths!”), but since mommy mentioned it… She says that the sweet potato and the chicken are easy to break into smaller pieces. But when she went to break the chicken liver pieces into smaller pieces for Nala and me to share, it crumbled… a lot. All I have to say is… That’s the way the cookie crumbles, mommy! Teehee!
My conclusion?
Nala and I love Terra PawsTM Freeze-Dried Pet Treats! If you can get your paws on a credit card (or get your human to use theirs), you should definitely try these! Nala went absolutely nuts for them… sort of how she acts when mommy takes a piece of cheese out of the refrigerator. I played the part of the more mellow sister, ’cause I knew I’d eventually have a taste.

I want to let you all know that I’ve changed the word verification for comments. I know how frustrating the old reCaptcha phrases were to follow, so I searched really hard to find something that was easy-to-use for everyone.
If you are on a computer (desktop or laptop), all you have to do is drag the image that it tells you to, from the left to the right image. If you are using anything other than a computer (like an iPad, iPhone, or other mobile device), you just need to click on the correct matching image on the left (it will tell you). The image will then automatically appear over the image on the right.
If you are experiencing any problems, please let me know in your comment so I can alert the developers of any issues. I truly hope this image verification is easy for everyone — please let me know your thoughts! Don’t forget I have to personally approve your comment, so it won’t show up right away. π
Happy Tuesday woofs & hugs,
~Bailey
P.S… If you’re a human who blogs about your furry, or a furry who blogs about your human… or even a furry who blogs about your life… I invite you to follow me via Google Friend Connect (see box in the right-hand column –>), and join me on Facebook. Please let me know you’ve visited — I love reading other blogs and making new friends. <3
I have no association with the company mentioned in the above review. I received samples of this product free of charge in exchange for an honest opinion. My puppy opinions are my own (and Nala’s opinions are hers).
