The BIG THING. It came, it conquered, but it’s not finished…
The BIG THING started on Saturday, and continued on Sunday. But Sunday was worse! Daddy had to take up the thinset, which is the tile adhesive underneath. It was really hard to get up — almost as hard as taking up the tile! The machine was really loud, and the sound pierced my ears. Nala was so scared she didn’t know what to do with herself.

The screeching sound made me howl.

Daddy was on the other side of the plastic.

The sound was so loud — I bet the neighbors weren’t happy!

I kept barking and trying to get to the other side of the plastic.
Nala was going a little crazy too. That was probably because of me.

That landed us both in the kitchen, where we had no choice
but to hang out and look at each other.

Meanwhile, daddy had lifted all the adhesive from the floor.
He found some really interesting symbols on the floor near
the bedrooms and bathroom doors.

Mommy had to wipe down the walls because they were full of dust.

When she was finished, she let Nala and me out of the kitchen.
I ran to inspect their work. They did an OK job. 😉

Daddy started vacuuming, but ended up playing with me instead!

I had lots of fun with daddy on Daddy’s Day!

I love chasing the vacuum… and trying to chew it.

When they were finished cleaning up, Taylor came out
to see how things went. I was so excited to see her!

My chipmunk stuffy wanted to play, but it was late.

I ended up going to sleep earlier than usual.
It’s hard work making sure daddy did things the right way!
Daddy’s only half done with taking up the floor tile. Not sure when he’s gonna finish the kitchen and dining room, but It’s probably going to be within the next couple of weeks. I’ll definitely let you know!
Countdown:
Days until we blast off into space: 7 days, on June 28!
Happy Tuesday woofs & hugs!
~Bailey (Yep, I’m a girl)

Bailey you are braver than I. Those loud noises would have drove me straight into my bunker! Not to be seen again until peace was restored in the household ;P
Good job Dad and Mom on making progress! 😀
Waggin at ya,
Roo
Oh no hope dad helped you reset the tile
Benny & Lily
Noisy machines and plastic barricades and lots of dust…sounds upsetting! You did a great job supervising but I totally understanding Nala just wanting it to STOP!
That’s funny that you like the vacuum! I usually run and hide when my mom gets out the vacuum!
Your pal, Pip
Hi y’all…all that work…sure does take along time to do something like that. Hope it gets done in couple of weeks…keep at Daddy…right! wink wink

You and Nala are so brave. I probably would have barked too. I need to make sure Mommy knows something is going on!!
Make sure you keep Daddy’s nose to the grind stone so he gets that job done soon! I know it will be pawtacular when it is done!
Puppy Kisses,
Tanner
Bailey we are so sorry about all the noise and disruption. At least its your Dad doing the work. Our Mom and Dad invited strangers in the house to work on the electrical work. OK well one of the guys we know. He’s a Sheltie Daddy, too. However, he was here Friday and now he’s back today and the noise is SOOO LOUD. Katy is pacing and Mom won’t let me help. I always get to be the pluber’s assistant.
Dogervising is such hard work – I have to do this too to make sure Dad gets things right
