I love sharing my furry family and friends with all of you! Today I wanna tell you about my cousin Snickers and his furry and feathery family. π
My cousin Snickers is a great doggie! He loves to do anything that involves being around his human family. Look for a video below!
This is my cousin, Snickers. He’s a 10-year-old, 90 pound chocolate lab.
His family thinks he’s spoiled. A spoiled doggie? I’ve never heard of one.
His favorite toy is a small rubber tire. He loves that toy so much, but watch out —
when his mommy puts peanut butter inside it, it’ll keep him busy for the next hour!
Snickers’ mommy says that he stands near her feet when she is cooking, because she tends to be messy. Snickers’ will clean up whatever she drops to the floor. Awww, such a helpful doggie. π
When Snickers’ daddy gets up in the morning, Snickers takes his place in the bed. We have something in common, Snickers!
When the family is out camping, and Snickers’ mommy wants to find her two children, she puts his leash on and asks Snickers to find his human brother and sister. Snickers will track their scent and take his mommy to them.
Snickers loves being around other kids, and doesn’t mind if they pull his ears or tail. The most he will do is give them a big, wet, slobbery kiss! And he may be a tad bit jealous of his two kitty siblings, ’cause if he sees them getting attention, he’ll put his head under your hand so he can get some love too!
This is Snickers’ pal, Cloud. She’s a 15-yr-old cockatiel.
What is it about us doggies that make birdies wanna ride on our backs?
This is Snickers’ older cat, Rainbow. She pretty much ignores the birdie, Cloud.
Her mommy says the most ambitious thing she does is walk to her food bowl!
This is Snickers’ kitten, Mittens. Mittens is a very curious kitty, so
Cloud the birdie stays in her cage in a closed room when no one is home.
Snickers has a very interesting talent — he dives for rocks! Seriously!
I guess when you’re a Retriever, you have to retrieve something. π
Snickers retrieves one rock after another, over and over again.

Snickers LOVES to be outside! If he hears the words “walk” or “ride,”
he gets excited and waits by the door, hoping that he can go too!

Snickers looks like quite a character! We have some German Shepherd friends who dive for rocks, too, but none of us do. I bet you have a lot of fun together!

It sounds like you have a great friend in your cousin. We don’t have any doggy cousins, but we do have one really mean doggy Uncle.
Snickers sure is a handsome chocolate lab – and so very talented. He sure loves going under that water for rocks. We have to admit we would never be able to live with a bird loose in our house. He is very tolerant.

Love the bird on his back. Alex’s previous owners used to have birds and he could be found with several birds on his head and back. π
