Happy Wordless Wednesday, friends! Today’s post is brought to you by me, Nala, and our non-couch (also known as the “Couch Invader).
Turtle Update…
Monday, mommy talked to a lady at the wildlife center, about the turtle that we brought over this past Saturday. The lady said it had been released back into the wild! She also told us that it was a Box Turtle. After my mommy got off the phone, she searched online to see what a Box Turtle looked like. She found that those turtles usually grow to about 6 inches. The turtle she brought over to the wildlife center was at least one foot long, if not longer (you needed 2 hands to carry it because it was so heavy).
Feeling like the lady made a mistake, my mommy called back the wildlife center again, yesterday. The lady checked again, and was sorry to give us the news that our Yellow Belly Slider turtle did not make it. We were so looking for a happy ending, but the turtle had sustained too much damage. Although we’re sad, we’re glad it did not have to suffer any longer than it had to. If you want to see a photo of a Yellow Belly Slider turtle, click here. Also, if you ever need to figure out what type of turtle you’re looking at, check out this website.
One more thing on this Wordless Wednesday… I just posted a new article, with my 2 Biscuits! Read, “10 Real Ways to Make Money with Your Blog.”
Now to go wordless…almost.

*We’re still waiting for our couch, daddy!*

Sorry to hear that the turtle didn’t make it. Poor little guy:(
I’m so sorry to hear the news about the poor turtle. My Dad always stops too whenever he sees one crossing the road to help it across. One time it was on a busy freeway so he picked it up and put it in the van. It had to be re-located to the woods, far away from the freeway. I wonder what it was thinking while riding in the van. Did it want to stick its head out the window????
Woof! Woof! Oh I LOVE the “couch” too … which I am not really allowed to be. Golden Happy for the turtle. Happy Wednesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
BTW: we never heard from you from our last email. So did you end up with 2 shed monster? Let us know. Golden Woofs
Hi Sugar!! At this time I have not received ANY Shed Monsters — sad, I know! I’m so sorry! I just checked my emails, and my last email to you did not send! Watch for it, OK?
BTW, our turtle sadly didn’t make it — the lady made a mistake when she told my mommy on Monday. π
Woofs & hugs! <3
It’s so sad to hear about the poor turtle. A friend’s son is a master diver who always sees the sea turtles which are choked to death by mistakenly eating the plastic bags as jellyfish.
So sorry the poor turtle suffered, I have always really liked turtles. So many people do nothing when they see them in the street
I used to work in a wildlife center and saw too many times injured turtles that had been hit by a car while crossing the road, or had just been displaced from their natural habitat. It’s great that you brought the slider in and that the poor little guy didn’t have to suffer anymore!
