My New Digs

If you know a little about me, you’ll know how much I LOVE digging. Digging in dirt, digging in the floor, digging in the carpet, digging on your leg, etc. Hey, I’m not picky where I dig. πŸ˜‰

Sad news…

Please visit friends over at Maggie and Mitch the Airedales… they lost their sweet Maggie the other day. Please take a moment to offer some words of comfort.

Now for My New Digs…

It’s been a long while since I’ve been able to dig in my digging spot out in the backyard. Remember these posts? My digging rampage, I dig because I can, and Water + dirt = MUD..?

Mommy was OK with me digging in my spot, but little by little the grass started to disappear around that entire side of the pool. Then one day we were running around the pool and mommy tripped because of that hole. That’s when she decided to cover up my digging spot… and see if the grass would grow back.

My New Digs
When I was digging here, there was no grass at all.
The dirt along the right side, is from my running
around the pool. It’s a nice path, don’t ya think?

My New Digs
It’s been kinda hard to dig in the dirt
when there’s a board covering up your spot.

The other day, Taylor was outside with me when I found a new spot to dig. It was in the backyard next to the back fence… and I do mean, right next to the fence. I was happily digging, when mommy came out and put a stop to that. She didn’t think it was a good idea to dig so close to the fence. Did she think I would actually be able to dig my way out of the yard? Heh.

Taylor felt bad for me, and that made mommy feel bad. So mommy picked out another spot away from the fence.

My New Digs
OK, it’s close to a fence, but not that close.

My New Digs
I’m a digging machine! I’ve already got my head in the ground.

My New Digs
I wouldn’t stand behind me when I’m digging.
Just sayin’.

My New Digs
The dirt on this side of the yard, under the
mango tree, is really soft and dark.

My New Digs
It’s more like dirt. My old digging spot was
more light and sandy. Dirt in this spot, really
stuck to my face, my tongue, and inside my nose.

My New Digs
I think I prefer digging on the other side of the yard.

My New Digs
The dirt over here makes me wonder whether
I’ll enjoy digging here as much as my other spot.

My New Digs
Ah what the heck. Digging is digging!
Cover your face, ya’ll! Teehee!

  11. Hi! Bailey! We admire your hole but we aren’t much at digging other than an occasional gopher! Love chasing though. We have a cat and a possum that are night visitors. They are great fun to chase. The skunk?! not so much! We were away for awhile but have been enjoying catching up on your antics. Have a fun day!

  17. The real question Miss Bailey – is have you planted any bones in those holes? You could have your very own Bone Tree if you did that…..of coarse if it is anything like mom’s money tree that she planted – you could be waiting a long time…we are still waiting 5 years later for it to appear πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  18. Finn says:

Momma needs your email address again so she can send in her pics! Looks like you had a lot of fun digging, I LOVE digging too!
