Remember the floor installation that took place in September? Well it’s 6 months later, and it’s still not over!
As I mentioned in a prior post, the grout did not cure properly in many places on the floor. After 2 follow-up grout replacements, a man in charge of the installation company came to check things out. Mommy put Nala and me in the bedroom until he finished checking the hallway.
He got down on his hands and knees and checked to
locate all the places on the floor where the grout
could be brushed away like sand.
When he was done checking the hallway, mommy
let us out of the bedroom, but we had to stay on
the other side of the gate.
The man added lots more blue tape to the floor where the grout
was no good. There’s some in the living room, down the hallway,
kitchen, under the dining room table…
And in the space between the dining room and
living room. We’ve been living with blue tape
for more than a month!
Thankfully, the installation company is coming back to redo these grout lines next week. Mommy says they are going to put on a hardener/sealer at no charge, and the warranty will start after the job has been completed. Hopefully, this will be the very last time they will have to come. Paws crossed.

We hope your flooring problems get fixed correctly; it is a good thing the installer is honorable. In the meantime the blue tape looks like funny bird tracks across your floor!

My gosh, you have had a rough time with your floor! Hopefully this will correct the problem. I love the picture of Bailey and Nala waiting on the other side of the gate. So adorable, so curious.
Wow! That is no fun! There is a man, on your floor. On his hands and knees. And you can’t even get close to him to play with him.
But I am glad the floor is going to be fixed. Hope it doesn’t smell to bad.

OMD… I am so very much sorry to hear that the Pawject did not get done the right way. I hope that it is totally FIXED this time. I think my mom would have been going GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR at the guy over this.

Wow! Your Momma sure has been having lots of troubles with that new floor! It kinda takes the excitement out of it. 🙁 Good luck! Our fingers and paws are crossed that next week it will be fixed for good!
Oh my, that happened to the grout in our remodeled bathroom. Unfortunately, hubby said he would touch it up……..two years later..nothing has been done!
It’s sort of like following that Yellow Brick Road only you have blue tape.

What a challenge this floor has been! We hope this time all is fixed for good. How does your Mom keep that white grout so clean?

Teehee! The grout is the same color as the tile. It’s only clean ’cause mommy and daddy run to clean it every time Nala and I drool… and you KNOW we drool ONLY on the grout lines! ah haha
