Today was a great day! Since there was a lot of yard work going on, I made myself available during a midday card game on the living room floor. Nope, I wasn’t asked to play, but I didn’t mind inviting myself over with a nice big fluffy toy! It looked like I had plenty of room to lay right down next to my mom and sister. I think they enjoyed me being right on top of their cards too!
They were playing a card game called, “Spit!” and after each count to three, they yelled “Spit!” That made me sooo excited that I jumped up and played right along with them! How much fun I had! They got excited too, because they kept handing me a bone to chew on! Of course, Nala didn’t notice any of this because she was asleep on the couch!
Speaking of Nala…being 12 years old makes it really hard to chew on rawhide bones. I’m sure when she was younger she really enjoyed them — I know I do! But that doesn’t stop her from stealing MY bones! She’s sneaky though…she waits until I chew on one of the bones until the end gets really soft, then she swipes it from me! See that bone she’s chewing on in the photo? It’s mine! It doesn’t matter how many bones I chew on (and I have many!)…she always steals the ones that I’ve chewed. And of course, anything that Nala has, I want! So goes the circle of life…
I’ve come to realize the following:
If it makes noise, I want it.
If it moves, I want it.
If it’s shiny, I want it.
If I’ve already chewed it, I want it.
If I can’t have it, I want it.
If Nala has it, I want it.
If I want it, I want it.
And lastly… If I say it’s mine, IT’s MINE! 😉
