Play and Nap

It was a beautiful day outside today! It wasn’t too hot, and it wasn’t too cold. I love the days where there’s a slight wind and my doggie ears flop all over the top of my head. I love how the leaves fall off the trees and float all over the yard, never knowing where they’re going to land. Another thing I love is a Sunday, when I get to play outside with my family.

Play and NapI had so much fun today! We played hide and seek (haha, I found a few more hiding spots!), and we enjoyed being out in the fresh air. There were also more dandelions. My human sister held one up so I could smell it (no silly, the dandelion didn’t go up my nose as it looks in the photo — it was just held up in front of me and didn’t even touch me. Honest). I’m beginning to like these dandelions…especially when the little petals are blown away into the air. You know, that’s how we get more dandelions. I call it the dandelion game.

Play and NapNala didn’t want to play much today. Oh, she did come outside many times today, but she didn’t play with me. She just sat on her couch by the window and smiled as mommy took her picture from outside on the patio. We tried to get her to come out and play, but she just didn’t want to. Maybe tomorrow she’ll join us.

Play and NapPlaying outside today was so much fun — I got a lot of doggie massages and was told that I was such a good girl. Well I am a good girl.

I didn’t dig any holes today, but I did steal a pair of socks. Does that count?

Play and NapAfter such a tiring day, I took a nap in my human sister’s room — she has such a comfy carpet! I love to roll around on the floor, turn upside down, put my feet on her furniture, and fall asleep. But sometimes I just like to lie on my back, hang my tongue out and drift softly into a long, playful dream. Then again, sometimes I close my eyes for 5 minutes, and I’m ready to play again. And there’s another day.

Woofs & hugs!

~Bailey

Sounds like you had a good day. Socks don’t count – Sam steals them all the time and we think we he is a great boy!

Bailey, you are a cutie pie – what gorgeous eyes you have! You have eyes that look right into a person. I don’t know where you live, since I have just discovered your page and am visiting for the first time, but from this post, I can tell that I want to be where you are. “Not too hot, not too cold?” and “dandelions?” What’s a dandelion, I’ve already forgotten what they look like!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Aww, thank you! We live in the south — it’s warm most of the year except for now, when it’s coooold most nights! Well, that’s what they tell me, since I haven’t yet lived a full year. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And oooh, dandelions…they’re those round little flowers whose petals are carried away up into the air by the wind when you blow on them. And they taste good too! (you didn’t read that from me). ๐Ÿ˜‰
