Last night my daddy came home after being away from home for a week. Today, Nala and I got to show him stuffz that he’s only been able to see this past week on our website. ๐
We all miss daddy when he sometimes travels for work, but when he’s away we keep in touch lots by using a webcam. Since we enjoyed using the webcam the last time he went away, mommy let Nala and me chat with daddy again this past week.

Since I sorta hogged the laptop the last time, mommy let
Nala have a turn seeing daddy first this time.

I couldn’t help myself… I pushed Nala away so I could see daddy.

Right after that, mommy put the laptop up on the table so
Nala could get a closer look at daddy… and so he could see her.
It was great to keep in touch with daddy this way. If anyone in your family goes away for a while, you should definitely keep in touch with a webcam. We love it!
After daddy came home last night, I showed him this great new balloon that mommy brought home yesterday. This morning, he told us that he had seen the video of me playing with my balloon, but I wanted to show him how I played with it in person. He laughed when I started playing.

This was me with my balloon yesterday… before it started to deflate.

It was still lots of fun, even though it wasn’t as filled up.

The string on the balloon was starting to get worn out…
I saw mommy watching to make sure I didn’t eat it.

The balloon did eventually come off the string,
so mommy had to take it away. ๐
After watching me enjoy my balloon again , mommy and daddy had an idea.
It turns out that Nala is used to balloons… just not the helium kind. For as long as mommy can remember, Nala has always loved hitting balloons with her nose. Yeah, I guess that’s another cute trick that Nala can do. (Search ‘trick’ to find more posts on Nala’s tricks.)
Mommy let me watch as daddy played balloon with Nala. Wowserz, was she good!

Daddy threw the balloon, and Nala waited to pounce.

There she goes! It looks like she’s going to bite it, but she didn’t.

She just hit it up with her nose.

She’s really good. Maybe she could teach me this trick too.

She gets so excited when she’s playing… balloons are so much fun!
After watching Nala play for a bit, mommy and daddy wanted me to try hitting the balloon.

Well OK, bring it on!

When the balloon came at me, I went for it.
I was so excited, that I hit that balloon right off my nose!

Every time daddy threw the balloon to me, I hit it on my nose.
Well, almost every time.

After playing a few times, the balloon hit the ground. I picked
it up in my mouth! Can you believe it didn’t pop right away?
Mommy and daddy couldn’t believe it. But it did eventually pop,
and so that was the end of our balloon game.
Balloons are not safe toys for doggies and kitties, but they could be lots of fun! Always supervise your pets if you decide to let them play with balloons.
Right after that last picture, I popped the green balloon, and I quickly grabbed a piece of it in my mouth. Luckily, my mommy was right there and removed it before I could eat it. I guess it wasn’t a smart thing for me to do, since that was the last balloon we played with. Mommy didn’t want to take any chances and have me pop another balloon. I’m just a crazy girl! If I didn’t touch it after it popped (like Nala), I bet she’d let me play with them some more.

Hey Bailey,
That Balloon game looked like lots of fun, I haven’t had a Balloon to play with yet, at least now I know I should use my nose and not my mouth to play with it……:)
As for the talking to Daddy on the computer, I’m not sure about that, Mum keeps trying to get me to do it if Dad’s away and also with her relatives, but I just ignore them when I hear them say my name, I’m still figuring it out? Mum’s Golden Retriever Harry used to love the computer and used to bring his favourite toy to the screen to show Mum when he saw her on it – maybe one day I’ll impress them and embrace the technology?
Woofs to you all,
Snoopy ๐
That looks like a fun game – playing with a balloon. I might have to see if my Mom will get me one. I know how it feels when your Dad is away. Last year my Dad was away nearly every week. Then he changed jobs and now he is home every night and I am much happier.
you guys sure do like balloons!

Balloons are a lot of fun, aren’t they. I’m going to have to see what Darby and Pumpkin think of them.
Wow! two days with balloons. They look sort of like floating balls to me. Looks like you had lots and lots of fun. Did it scare you when it popped?

That sounds like a fun, fun game, especially since I love balls!! I’m going to tell Mom to try it!
We Skype with Mom’s hu-daughter and sometimes I stick my nose in. When she has her baby, Mom will be gone for a long time, so I know I’m going to learn Skype a whole lot more. Glad you are telling me about it so I can practice!
That is really cool you video chat with your diddy. I wonder if I would even recognize my humans if I were looking at them on a computer screen. The balloon playing pics are very cute. You two sure are fun doggies.
