As a puppy, I am learning that eternity may seem like forever, but there is an end to everything. Sometimes things last longer than they’re supposed to, and sometimes they go way before their time. Sometimes they leave at just the right moment.
I found out yesterday that one of my mommy’s friend’s doggies was diagnosed with the dreaded “C” word. It’s the friend that came to visit a couple of months ago — remember her? I can’t imagine how she is feeling. My mommy said she can’t either.
I wanted to share a couple of pictures of my mommy’s friend’s doggie, Mickey. He’s 13 years old and is a happy doggie. I want to celebrate what time he has left here and would love it if I could get lots of prayers for Mickey on this page so I could show his mommy — I think she would really like that.

This is Mickey as a puppy! Isn’t he adorable?

Here’s Mickey with his little brother, Barney, who’s just 4 years old.

I’m gonna help celebrate Mickey’s life…
but I think I’m gonna be sad for just a little bit first.
UPDATE: Mickey arrived at Rainbow Bridge on 8-19-11. He’ll be terribly missed by those who love him. <3 Countdown:
Days until I’m 1 year old: 5 days, on June 18!
Days until we blast off into space: 15 days, on June 28!
Ahhhh! I can’t believe I’m gonna be 1 year old this Saturday!
I wanna stay a puppy!!

For the word verification: If you are on a computer (desktop or laptop), all you have to do is drag the image that it tells you to, from the left to the right image. If you are using anything other than a computer (like an iPad, iPhone, or other mobile device), you just need to click on the correct matching image on the left (it will tell you). The image will then automatically appear over the image on the right. Don’t forget I have to personally approve your comment, so it won’t show up right away. 🙂
Happy Monday woofs & hugs,
~Bailey

How very kind Bailey, we will definitely keep Mickey in our prayers, wooos & pawsitive siber vibes,
RA & Isis
This is Mickey’s “mom” and I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. I cried all day Sunday when I found out and then most of Monday. Today I was able to talk about it, it helped a lot. Mickey will not get through this whether it’s this year or the beginning of next year. I would just like some prayers for a quiet pain free departure at home. I want him surrounded by his family including his brother. I also want it to be in the place he loved the most his home. Thank you so much I will keep reading the posts for more inspiration.
Thank you friends. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your thoughts and prayers. It truly means a lot to me, my family, and Mickey and his family.
Woofs & hugs,
~Bailey
Very sorry for your friend’s diagnosis. We’re always saddened to hear of any furry battling this.
Thanks for posting this message about Mickey and his family. It is very sweet of you. I am Mickey’s “grandma” and I am mourning along with his parents. I hope his remaining time will be as peaceful and pleasant as possible
We are so sorry for Mickey and his family. He is such a beauty. Paws of love and strength coming his way. And…miracles do happen, so we will hope and pray for one for him. We are so sorry for you, too, Bailey. You are so sweet and thoughtful and we know Mickey cherishes your loyal friendship.
Poor Mickey. We are sending hugs to his family.

Too many have lost their lives too soon and too many families grieve as a result of this terrible disease. It is momma’s strongest hope that we will find a way to beat this monster within her lifetime.
We send White Dog woos of comfort and prayers for loving dignity throughout this ordeal. May our positive energy help during the bad times and provide strength when things get tough. Please let your friend and his mom know that they are not alone.
Oh Bailey – I just love you so much! You’re always there with a kind word and it makes me sad to know you’re sad. My heart breaks for Mickey’s family, but you have the right idea. If they can think of all the love and wonderful things Mickey brought them, this will last a lifetime! Positive vibes sent to you and Mickey’s family.
My paws are crossed for your friend Mickey and his family!

Dag Nabbit – didn’t we all agree the Rainbow bridge was closed for repairs and no more doggies could go over it this year!!!! I will be praying with all four paws that Mickey makes it through this scare.
Oh, Bailey, we are so with you here!!! Mommy knows all too well what that C word means. Mommy and I will be praying for Mickey and his brother and his family!
And gentle hugs to you and your family too!!!
