I’ve been blogging for 6 months now. Including today, I’ve posted 189 times, and received almost 1500 comments. But more than these statistics, I’ve gained so many friends. I don’t know where to begin to thank you all.
Yesterday, when I was feeling sad about my mommy’s friend’s doggie’s diagnosis, a light shined my way. I was surprised to receive 2 separate blogger awards from friends. I would love to share these with you below.
By the way, thanks to all the beautiful words and prayers you have sent for Mickey — I can’t wait for mommy’s friend to see them!
The first award I received is called, the “Genuine Blogger Award.”

It was given to me by friends over at Just Ramblin’. Miss Stella, Sadie, and your family… I can’t begin to thank you enough for this. It gives me peace to know that you feel I am worthy of this award. Thank you so much for thinking of me.
Here is what the Genuine Blogger Award is about, as quoted by Just Ramblin’:
-
I just wanted to let you know that you are a Genuine Blogger. Celebrate your blog, as it is comes across to the reader as heartfelt and genuine. There are no rules with this honor. Accept it and relish in the thought that your blog is “award worthy” without having any strings attached. It is an award that I hope allows recipients to know that their work is appreciated, valued, and noteworthy by a fellow blogger and it does not have the pressure of “rules and requirements” to follow. Receive and value it for the gift and honor in which it is intended.
This second award I received is called, the “You are an… Inspiration!” Award. This award was given to me by my friends over at Boondocks the Wonder Dog. Boondocks, Kudzu and your family… I thank you so much for thinking of me! I enjoy reading your adventures and just love how Kudzu has become a part of your lives.

In accepting this award, I have to promise to pass it on to 10 other blogs that inspire me. I had Nala help me on this, ’cause it was sure hard to narrow my list down to just ten, but we’ll give it a try.
Nala and I find the following bloggies to be deserving of this award, ’cause you all inspire us! Please keep continuing what you are doing — the Internet would not be the same without you. <3 We tried to award those who have not previously won this award.
1. Five Sibes: Harley, Gibson, Bandit, Chloe, and Wolf… I can’t imagine living with four other siblings — I think that’s so awesome! My mommy’s aunt used to have a sibe, so she knows lots about them. With the way you all interact… you make me smile! Oopsie, almost forgot Smokie, the sibe kitty. MEOW! 😉
2. Arwen’s Pack: Arwen — you always keep me interested in what you have to say… and you’re just so NICE!!
3. Snoopy’s Dog Blog: Snoopy, you are one gorgeous doggie! I mean really… look at that fur! I love reading all about you and your friends. And did I mention your fur? It’s simply amazzzzing.
4. It’s Me Buddy’s Blog (and then along came the Bear!): Buddy was one of my first bloggy friends — how terribly cute he is!! And to make things even more irresistible, he brought home the Bear! Two too-cute corgis — someone fan me quick.
5. Amber’s Personal Diary: Wowserz, Amber-Mae — you and your siblings are sooo talented! I could probably never do half of the stuffz you know how to do. Maybe you should become a teacher. 🙂
6. White Dog Diary Online: To the White Dog Army, I thank you for sharing such in-depth posts about your lives. I am partial to you all not only because my sister Nala is an American Eskimo mix, but because you’re all so darn cute!
7. Benny & Lily: You two always make me laugh! It’s no wonder though… we seem to have the same wicked sense of humor. 😉
8. According to Gus: Detailed blogs + lovely photos + terrific reviews = According to Gus. Thanks for sharing your life and your adventures, Gus!
9. Dog is God in Reverse – My Life With Dogs: What can I say — Big Carl (who’s little), plus two bigger doggies: Mesa and Baily — what a fun mix!
10. Sugar the Golden Retriever: Sugar, you always look so happy and peaceful… and so often leave me with something to think about.
11. Brian’s Home: Brian, even though you blog about kitties, I love your dedication and love for them, and am amazed at all you do.
(Yep, there’s 11. I never follow the rules.)
Honorable mentions go to everyone on this page and everyone else who I have been lucky to be connected with these past 6 months.

And now a word from my mommy:
Dear friends, I have had websites for more than 14 years, and I’ve had Nala for almost 13. In all of her years, I never thought to make a website for her. I should have though — I probably would have had tons more photos when she was a puppy. 😉
When we rescued Bailey this past September, I don’t remember what possessed me to create a site for her — she was just the craziest puppy ever (still is), and so very different than Nala.
Bailey has brought us everything but peace and tranquility, yet she continues to keep us entertained, with lot of love all the time. I guess I wanted to share her with the world. But I never dreamed that back in December, 2010, that a little website for Bailey would put me in touch with such caring, thoughtful, witty, silly, and overall nice people (and furries!). I regret to say that I have underestimated the depth of the doggie blogging world. Your kindness just astounds me!
I am proud to have joined such a huge community of special furries and their human families. It gives us joy to continue writing for you all each day.
Thank you for continuing to read Bailey’s site, and for being our friends. <3 ~Bailey's mommy Countdown:
Days until I’m 1 year old: 4 days, on June 18!
Days until we blast off into space: 14 days, on June 28!
Ahhhh! I can’t believe I’m gonna be 1 year old this Saturday!
I wanna stay a puppy!!
*Extra Woofies*
For the word verification: If you are on a computer (desktop or laptop), all you have to do is drag the image that it tells you to, from the left to the right image. If you are using anything other than a computer (like an iPad, iPhone, or other mobile device), you just need to click on the correct matching image on the left (it will tell you). The image will then automatically appear over the image on the right. Don’t forget I have to personally approve your comment, so it won’t show up right away. 🙂
Happy Tuesday woofs & hugs,
~Bailey (Yep, I’m a girl)
P.S… If you’re a human who blogs about your furry, or a furry who blogs about your human… or even a furry who blogs about your life… I invite you to follow me via Google Friend Connect (see box in the right-hand column –>), and join me on Facebook. Please let me know you’ve visited — I love reading other blogs and making new friends. <3

Congratulations Baily on two wonderful awards and I am thrilled that you made me an honorary woofie! I love your blog and you are just so cool!
Congratulations!
Your pal, Pip
The dog blogging world is fulll of amazing people – when my Mom spent most of last year in hospital it was the doggies Mom’s who sent her cards and kept in touch with her and worried about me. Mom has been a member of some scrapbooking sites for a couple of years – but never heard a peep from anyone there. I think people who love their pets are just more loving in general.
