Wordless Wednesday: Thunder’s Scary

It’s Wordless Wednesday!

Wordless Wednesday: Thunder's Scary
Nala’s so scared, she’s sitting on the bottom of mommy’s chair.
Notice mommy’s version of a Thundershirt… BOL!

Wordless Wednesday: Thunder's Scary
I’ll keep you safe, Nala… just lay next to me.

OK, so it wasn’t totally wordless. πŸ˜‰

If you’re wondering why I haven’t been commenting on your blogs for the past couple of days, it’s ’cause mommy and I have been busy online helping to search for missing doggies. I’ve discovered that there are so, so many missing fur babies. There are many sites to search, such as Petfinder.com, Humane Societies & Animal Control websites in the cities of the missing fur babies. I wanted to do something to try and help, so I’ve started a Missing Pets page. It’s under Fuzzy Stuffz in the column just to the right.

Once you start looking for missing pets on all of the online ‘Lost and Found’ sites, it’s so very hard to stop. Mommy keeps thinking… “just one more page, and I might find one.” I’ll be by soon to visit, I promise. πŸ™‚

I’m taking part in today’s Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop, so please visit some of the blogs below for some other Wordless Wednesday posts!

Countdown:

Days until we blast off into space: 9 days, on July 8!

Happy Wednesday woofs & hugs!

~Bailey (Yep, I’m a girl)

For the word verification below: If you are on a computer (desktop or laptop), all you have to do is drag the image that it tells you to, from the left to the right image. If you are using anything other than a computer (like an iPad, iPhone, or other mobile device), you just need to click on the correct matching image on the left (it will tell you). The image will then automatically appear over the image on the right. Don’t forget I have to personally approve your comment, so it won’t show up right away. πŸ™‚

  1. Bailey,

I can imagine just how long it takes to look for all those lost pets, you’re doing a fantastic job, keep up the great work πŸ™‚

I’m with you Nala. Thunder is spooky wooky! Yikes! I head for my storm bunker (Mom’s shower) when I hear the first distant rumble. Fortunately, Mom has medicines for me now. Composure (herbal calmer) for minor storms and Generic Xanax for the real house shakers. They keep me from going into high anxiety mode (shakes and heavy panting). I hear Thundershirts work real well too. Just too hot here for me to wear them. I like your pink Thundershirt! πŸ˜€ Good job Mom! πŸ˜€

    hey Bailey,

Thunder-boomers can be scary, but you are such a great big sisfur to take care of Nala. I am sorry she becomes so afraid, but I am sure your loving and brave presence helps her remain calm. :-> And love the Thundershirt idea! We have never heard of that before, but what a great way to calm a frightened doggy!

That is great your mom is helping with lost pets. We looked at some she highlighted and it made us sad. Your mom is an Angel to the pets for helping them. Good luck to her!!

  4. Chandra says:

I like Mom’s version but I’ve also heard really good things about Thundershirts so if she can, it’d be really great to get one for Nala. I hope it helps calm her. I know that it also helps just to have her loving family with her – no one likes to be alone when they’re scared! GO AWAY MEAN THUNDERSTORMS!

Thanks everyone, for your caring! πŸ™‚ It turns out that mommy’s homemade version of a Thundershirt, does not work very well. I think she’s gonna break down and buy an actual Thundershirt (at least I’m working on it!). Poor Nala shakes and shakes — mommy says she’s having a panic attack. I don’t know what that is, but I do know that something is wrong with her. It makes me nervous to think that she is not feeling well, but when I get too close to Nala during one of her panic attacks, mommy makes me stay out of her face. I just want to be sure she’s OK!

If mommy does buy a Thundershirt, I’ll definitely do a review on it. If it can cure Nala of her panic attacks during a thunderstorm, it will be the biggest gift Nala could receive. I will have to tell the world about it. πŸ™‚

    Woofs & hugs,

Poor Nala! Some of us don’t like thunderstorms or fireworks or other loud noises either. Keep close to her, Bailey, it makes her feel safe. We thought Nala was just modestly wearing an after bath wrap, not a homemade thundershirt…very stylish!

  7. JacksDad says:

Well, I’m sorry you get scared during the thunderstorms. The tall guy says that loud noises don’t seem to bother me, so he’s lucky!

  8. Our Scarlet is scared of thunder too. She once busted the laundry room door in half trying to escape it.

    We hope Nala’s thundershirt helped.

Poor Nala! Jess doesn’t like storms (or fireworks), but she isn’t bad enough to need a Tshirt, thankfully. πŸ™

  10. Nala looks very pretty in pink

  11. Bailey says:

We woke Mom and Dad up this morning to warn them of the thunder storm. Bailey is very afraid of thunder. Katy is exactly fond of it either. Daddy took us downstairs and played our thunder music and we all fell asleep. Daddy was grumpy this morning.

We like moms version of a thundershirt!
