Day of Loose Doggies

Remember back in the summer, when there were two brown doggies living across the street that always got loose and ran around all over? We haven’t seen those doggies in a long time. But one day recently, we did see others.

Day of Loose Doggies
Our neighbors now have this little
black doggie living with them.

Day of Loose Doggies
He roams nearby houses, and goes potty on everyone’s lawn!
Where are his humans?!

The neighbors with that little doggie, aren’t the only ones who have trouble keeping an eye on their doggie. Every few months, we see two big doggies running past our house, followed by two little boys who are probably not more than 9-10 years old.

Mommy could never understand how there was never an adult with the two little boys.

Later that same day…

These two doggies came running past our house again, and as usual, there was no one with them. One of the doggies wasn’t even wearing a collar. After the little boys showed up to try and corral the doggies, there were still no adults in sight.

Day of Loose Doggies
They seem like friendly doggies, but they should still be on a leash.
Mommy was afraid they would get hit by a car. I barked at them a lot.

Day of Loose Doggies
I’m sure they’d be fun to run around with, but
it’s not safe for them to do it in the streets.

After about 5 minutes had passed, the boys came back into view with the two doggies on leashes. Mommy went out front to watch them walk down the street — she wanted to see which way they lived. When the boys reached near the end of where mommy could see them, she noticed an adult waving… calling them over. Mommy thought, “How nice of her to just stand there and wait for them.”

And later still that same day…

Remember the little black doggie above? Well, he decided to come back and visit, but this time he brought a friend!

Day of Loose Doggies
The little black doggie came back with a brown doggie friend.

Day of Loose Doggies
The brown doggie was running in the street as a car passed by.

Day of Loose Doggies
The little black doggie waited for his friend under our tree.

Day of Loose Doggies
I guess he liked the shade, but it made me crazy seeing him there.

Day of Loose Doggies
Both doggies ran off across the street.

Day of Loose Doggies
They went back near the house we knew they lived in.

Day of Loose Doggies
Then they took off down the street.

Day of Loose Doggies
A few minutes later, they came back and went
near the door of the house across the street.

Day of Loose Doggies
And stood there, until someone opened up the door.

And just a couple of days later…

The two doggies got out yet again…

Day of Loose Doggies
And the little black doggie came up to my window!

Day of Loose Doggies
Then he heard his owners calling his brown
doggie friend, who had also gotten loose… again.

Day of Loose Doggies
It wasn’t long before the brown doggie was on a leash.

Day of Loose Doggies
But the little black doggie still had to be caught.
Yeah, just stand there. That’s how to catch him.

Day of Loose Doggies
After following the little black doggie
for a while, he was finally caught.

Honestly, what is it with humans sometimes? My advice? Keep collars on your doggies ALL the time, and don’t let them roam the streets by themselves. If one or two happen to get out, go after them! Send an ADULT after them, not a child. Young children should NOT be responsible for chasing after furries, especially in the middle of the road.

To All My Bloggie Friends…

I’m so sorry, friends. I’ve missed visiting you recently. There’s a lot going on here with my human family health-wise, and when that happens, it’s hard for my mommy to concentrate. When my mommy can’t concentrate, I can’t concentrate and take time to comment on your posts. I sometimes do visit though, so I don’t fall behind on your lives. I’m also almost done filling out my holiday cards! But wowserz…

It really gripes me when (dumb) people have pets that they let run crazy in a neighborhood. Those doggies could get hit by cars. Sometimes they scare little kids and big folks too.

And you know if you tried to talk to the (dumb) people who have them, that they would just ignore you most times.

Now some poochies get loose from a open door or a gate left open and their (loving) family do care and do want their poochies to be safe. So we try to match them back up with their furever families so everyone is calm again.

The poochies you showed didn’t seem to fit this though. Their families don’t seem to care… ðŸ™

Mom has nothing to say except bad HBO words when we encounter loose doggies

  3. We see this same thing in our neighborhood too. We kept picking up 2 Chihuahuas who were always running loose. (A mother and her baby only about 10 weeks old). One day they stayed at our house until the owner came home……about 12 hours later. Dad was really mad at the owner and told her exactly what he thought about it. Hopefully the little ones are now staying in their house because we haven’t seen them in 2 weeks.

We have some neighbors like that, too. Bailey is actually pretty good at helping catch the dogs. For some reason they seem to trust him and stop so they can be caught and go home. It drives Mom nuts because she worries the dogs will get killed by cars.

I agree with you Bailey. Terrible things could happen. A couple months back I kept trying to tell my MOM about a doggie that was loose. I kept running in the house and back out, in, out. Then as she was doing some work on the couch she looked up and there was a big white dog standing in our living room! She tried to grab him, but he ran away and jumped over our fence and took off down the streeet. I sure hope he is OK.

  6. Those humans are what our Mom would call irresponsible. Once in a while, sure, dogs can get loose, but not regularly – they need to be taking steps to keep things under better control. But at least they do provide a diversion for you and Nala at the window:)

Hope the family is doing better.

How could those people let their dogs go loose??? It’s so scary to see loose dogs on the street. The adults should take up the responsibilities of taking care of their dogs.

  8. People who really love their furbabies ALWAYS know where they are and would NEVER let them just run around the street and risk getting run over by a car. How sad these pups don’t have parents who love them

  9. Finn says:

That’s some good advice! I can’t believe these folks. I sometimes see little children, under age 10, walking dogs alone, that bothers me too! People!!

Your right, Bailey! We should always be responsible for our furry friends. It must have been hard to watch those dogs in traffic.
