About 9 months ago, my mommy and I heard some barking beyond the fence in our backyard. She peeked through a hole in our fence, and spied the mystery dog.
Before I tell you about the mystery dog, I wanted to share an update about one of the loose doggies that we have in our neighborhood. A few days after I posted about the loose doggies, one of the doggies got loose again. This time, it was the brown doggie — the one that was running loose with the little black doggie. But this time was different. This time, there were many people outside to see it. There was mommy, our neighbors across the street and our neighbor next door.
When the brown doggie was running loose, there were no owners around. Then mommy looked out the window, and noticed someone coming out of the house where the doggie lives. Mommy went outside, stood at the end of the driveway, and waited. The doggie ran around and barked at everyone. He even circled around mommy, which gave her a good look. He was a pit bull, and he did not have a collar on. When one of the girls came mommy’s way to see if she could catch the doggie, mommy talked to her. She did not want to anger her, so she told her that it would be good if the doggie had a collar, ’cause if she ever got lost, she would want to find her. The girl told mommy that the doggie had a collar, but that the doggie broke it. Mommy told the girl that they make strong collars for strong doggies like hers. The girl didn’t smile, nor did she want to talk. When she eventually caught the doggie with a leash, it was loose and the girl just walked away without saying anything. Mommy told me all this, ’cause Taylor had to shut the blinds or I would have broken the front window. *sigh*
Now back to the mystery doggie…
On this one particular day back in March, mommy ran back into the house, got her camera, and ran back to snap the following picture through the hole in the fence…

When mommy zoomed in on the photo, she discovered the doggie…

She’s been trying ever since then, to get a good look at the doggie in that yard. We hear a doggie cry and bark all the time from that yard, but mommy could never spot one from the hole in the fence.
Well, the other day I heard some barking in that direction, as I had so many times before. Mommy heard the barking too. But this time she was prepared! She had her camera with her, and snapped the following pic through one of the holes in the fence…

If you notice, the doggie from last March, is not the same doggie from the other day. The doggie from last March is a dark color. The doggie from the other day is white and brown.
The next day, we heard barking again. Mommy looked through the fence, and saw THIS…

There was the brown doggie, and a friend…

His dark brown doggie friend from all those months ago!
Our mystery is finally solved! ๐

Oh wow, your mystery dog turned out to be dogs! They are really cute. It’s a shame their owner let them cry and bark.
I think he brought his friend back with him so that they could have their picture taken together!
We agree that dogs allowed to roam the streets or who are left outside most of the day must have humans that don’t know how to properly care for their furred ones. All those pups want is some attention…it makes us very sad.
Hi Bailey, At least your mum tried to help. Maybe if those doggies had a nice big bone to chew on they wouldn’t be barking so much. We are lucky doggies for sure. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
Those doggies sure are cute, but sad they get left outside all the time ๐
Hey! Thanks for the card! Isn’t the Christmas Card Exchange fun???
ArooooOOOO! Stuart
Yes!! And you’re welcome!! Woofs! <3
We agree with the two brown dawgs above. We know you don’t want to make trouble, but maybe it is time to call dog control. Maybe a warning would make those humans behave more responsibly toward their dogs.

Love your blog. I nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award. Check out my blog for details. There are a few requirements, but simple to do.
There is nothing more frustrating than loose doggies and irresponsible owners

Wow! You found twins! Sort of?
Doggie kisses,

Holy smokes, that’s some mystery! Glad that it’s finally solved.
Hmmmm, loose doggies can be really upsetting. Hope their peeps step up and control them just a bit better, play bows Bailey!

I am so glad that you solved your mystery. The dawgs look like they are getting plenty to eat… and they do have a Fenced area… butt I wonder how they get OUT??? THAT is dangerous.
Mommy says that she thinks that is the doggies’ backyard. The people must leave them outside for long periods of time, ’cause we hear barking lots, and sometimes some crying to go back inside. *sigh*
Sometimes with Humans all you can do is say “I tried” IT is a shame that we fourlegged ones aren’t better protected by laws. My Vickie thinks the humans should be punished harsher for their bad care. But instead, we somehow get the bad end of it, by going to the pound or being tied up.
All we wanna do is see the world like humans get to.
Oh well, I am rambling now.
20 points for trying….
Bert
The mystry dogs are very handsome. As for the lose doggies in your area… well MOM says I can’t type what I want to say about their humans.
Blessings,
Goose
We always feel so sad when we hear of doggies stuck out in there yards with no people to give them belly rubs, no nice bed, or no nice couch to sleep on (we nose you and Nala don’t sleep on da couch though).
Why do people even have dogs if they aren’t willing to make them part of the family???
I don’t feel too bad about the couch thing, ’cause we used to have a couch before the new couch invader. Daddy still promises to make us a new couch so there’s still hope! ๐
We are glad the Doggy has a friend. Mama says Bailey was very lonely before I came along. The woman she adopted me from wouldn’t have let me be adopted as an only dog because she said I needed a friend to be comfortable in a new home.
Wow, 2 mystery dogs you found…you got lots of cute neighbors Bailey!
You are nicer than I would have been about the loose dog. There is no excuse for dogs repeatedly running loose in a neighborhood.
Glad your mystery is solved!
Geez what is wrong with some people. We are glad you solved the mystery and we hope the doggies are being taken care of. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
It sounds like some of the people that live near you are not such good doggie people, huh. Momma gets mad at the loose doggies in our neighborhood. Sometimes she talks to their humans, but they are kind of like that girl. Don’t listen and very rude. Poor doggies.
Not you, right? You have a great family that loves you and takes very good care of you.
Slobbers,
Mango
